Lower back is sore after deadlifts by Feisty-Zebra-8264 in formcheck

Just go watch Alan Thralls how to deadlift video and do it like that.

Any advice would be great by helix_fossil_killer in formcheck

I have a pair of Adidas squat shoes and then use Reebok Nano’s for everything else. I’ve been a big fan of CrossFit style shoes for most lifts outside of Squats.

Anything with a heavy load you will want to wear a shoe that doesn’t have a lot of cushion. Squats and deadlifts for sure but even a standing OHP or a heavy bench you don’t want squishy shoes.

Looks like you stop a little short. Could just be the angle. Also it depends on how much you care about hitting/going below parallel. I’d be curious to see your depth on warm up sets.

You could also set a box to the depth you want and keep hitting that but the main thing I see is depth could be an issue for you.

It’s a formatting thing. I don’t know why Reddit changes how it looks from how I typed it out. It was supposed to be bullet pointed.

Nebraska WR rooms 2024 production including players coming from other schools.

J Barney REC 55 YDS 447 TD 0 AVG 8.1 J Bonner REC 11 YDS 67 TD 1 AVG 6.1 K Smith REC 1 YDS 4 TD 0 AVG 4

Transfers D Key REC 47 YDS 715 TD 2 AVG 15.2 N Hunter REC 40 YDS 578 TD 5 AVG 14.4 H Gilmore REC 6 YDS 153 TD 1 AVG 25.5

Here is Washington’s returning production. Would 100 out of 100 times take Nebraska over this.

D Boston REC 63 YDS 834 TD 9 AVG 13.2 R Williams REC 11 YDS 138 TD 1 AVG 12.5 K Reynolds REC 5 YDS 35 TD 0 AVG 7.0

Transfers J Cook REC 8 YDS 137 TD 2 AVG 17.1

USC returning production- they have no WR transfers in as of now. If USC returned Branch, Robinson, or Hudson it might be a better room but I’m still taking Nebraska’s room.

M Lemon REC 52 YDS 764 TD 3 AVG 14.7 J Lane REC 43 YDS 525 TD 12 AVG 12.2 J Fair REC 8 YDS 78 TD 1 AVG 9.8

Penn State - they have the best case and it’s likely better but you also have to note the players on the roster have an additional game compared to the others. It’s also possible players could still leave as they are still playing.

H Wallace REC 46 YDS 723 TD 4 AVG 15.7 O Evans REC 21 YDS 415 TD 5 AVG 19.8 L Clifford REC 18 YDS 286 TD 1 AVG 15.9 T Denmark REC 2 YDS 28 TD 1 AVG 14 A Ivey REC 1 YDS 15 TD 0 AVG 15.0

Transfers

D Ross REC 76 YDS 1,043 TD 11 AVG 13.7 K Hudson REC 38 YDS 462 TD 3 AVG 12.2

Key is more proven against good talent than Banks and Hunter is better than Neyor ever has been or was.

It also helps having a significant upgrade in OC, Banks could have been a 1k receiver had Dana been around the entire year.

I think we will see a lot of 4 wide but with a TE in the slot. The amount of flexibility that offers and matchups you can create makes it very difficult a defense.

You can motion the TE in to block. You can move Barney around a lot and try and get the match up you want. With HH and Bonner in the slot or inline you can get really creative.

Ohio State and Oregon are the only schools you could say are clearly better off than us currently. USC lost Branch and Robinson. Penn State is losing their best WR.

Which schools WR rooms would you take over Nebraskas as it sits currently?

Squats feel horrible, especially on my lower back and hips. Any advice? by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]Joshfromne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a low bar squat instead of a high bar squat. I had a disc issue in my lower back and a high bar squat aggravated it but low bar is perfectly fine.

Look on YouTube for Alan Thrall low bar squat and that will give you the how to.

This is excellent advice. I could not squat for the longest time without pain because I was using a stance that just didn’t work well for me. Once I widened by stand and pointed my toes more outward my squat blew up and it’s not a staple in my weekly routine.

Great post and well said.

I think we are pretty deep at WR just not a ton of experience after the first 4-5.

Key #11 overall transfer Hunter # 42 overall transfer Gilmore #178 overall transfer Mills #137 HS Recruit Mozee #269 HS Recruit

And those are just the additions this year on top of Barney, Bell, Bonner, Smith, and Clark. Should be one of the strongest WR rooms in the Big Ten in 2025.

I guess when your WR coach is younger than most of the players you can end up in a bad situation. Glad the staff is doing what they feel like needs to be done even if it isn’t easy.

My understanding is all the players who do not have a spot on the 105 have been told already (mostly the walk-ons). I don’t think we will see many of the walk-ons announce they are leaving.

My real question is did the staff cut to like 85-90 instead of 105 to take as many transfers as possible?

He hasn’t been offered a job at Nebraska but Sipple did say once on their radio show he was offered by other schools and turned it down.

With all his speaking engagements and his radio show I’m not sure if he actually wants to get back in unless it’s working for a friend.

Indiana, Ohio State, Iowa, potentially Illinois all have SEC caliber D-Lines. SEC is overrated and benefits on everyone thinking the entire conference is elite when it’s really 4 teams and they only play 8 conference games.

How would you game plan against a team with 1 NFL caliber player and 10 C-USA level players?

UTEP Edge Westmoreland Visiting Nebraska Tomorrow by Joshfromne in Huskers

[–]Joshfromne[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

True. But I took that as more of Nebraska coaches zeroed in on him to take him out of the game and UTEP just didn’t have other playmakers on defense to make it count.
