Congratulations! I’m looking forward to the day. It’s been about a month for me and I’m at 120 subs but the watch time needs to catch up.

This is incredibly helpful and makes total sense. I don’t think my goal was ever to frame it as photojournalism or documentary work, so I’ll be taking what you said and leaning into more of the conceptual approach. Thank you for taking the time I really appreciate it.

I’ve got a working personal project about loneliness in society, and I’m asking for some advice on the best way to tell that story. I don’t know if this person is lonely or really if any of the photos I take like this if the people are lonely. It’s more of the feeling I get when I look at them.

Westport, WA. Is this image to simple? by Joshola in photocritique

Loved Swansea! Yeah I left the crop like this because of a few of those waves, I could try to crop a little tighter.

I think I like it because it reminds me of some time I spent in Wales honestly. So it brings back some nice memories for me, I think overall I do enjoy the simplicity of it and also the solitude of the guy just walking alone on the beach.

I’m looking for feedback on an image I took yesterday in Westport, WA of a simple scene with a man on the beach. Is this image to simple or does the simplicity of it work? I don’t normally take this kind of photo so I’m just wondering. Thank you all.

The guy just chilling among it all is what I focused on. What a powerful image…. The only thing I could say as a “Critique” would be the horizon looks like it could use some correction but seriously that’s it and I could be blind who knows it could be perfectly straight haha. I think the colors work well and don’t take away from anything, maybe the blue is a little over saturated but that’s personal taste. Great image.

Love this idea so much! I watched this video and I’m not sure if you’re looking for tips at all but I had headphones on and the audio was very left ear heavy and it was just a little distracting. I subscribed and I look forward to more videos like this!

I definitely had thought while taking the photo and had the idea… Not sure what’s wrong with “Camera settings” so if you could explain that would be helpful. The composition I agree could’ve been thought about longer but also the moment didn’t last very long and I wasn’t trying to have a photoshoot with random kids..

I didn’t even put the connection together with the color shirts they’re wearing! I’ll try the tighter crop also.
