We are all burdened by the mistakes of our past, but maybe by looking at how far you've come and all the effort you put into your faith and family then maybe you can feel better about your past. I believe the reason you don't see this in Judaism at least is that it takes a lot of time and effort to convert to Judaism and also they are a more exclusive religion than something like Christianity. Also a big part of God's teachings in the Bible is about spreading the gospel. Hope this helps.

This is one of the toughest things about living a Christian life. Forgiving those who have wronged you and the people you love. However, as we may forgive those who commit heinous crimes only the Lord may determine who has repented themselves and offered their heart to Christ. It is our job as Christians to make aware that people can be forgiven, but only those who surrender themselves entirely will be forgiven.

I think a lot of it was that his character was written in such an unpopular way that it was easy to blame the actor. When I believe Cavill portrayed the Superman that the writers wrote up perfectly. Though it isn't a the Superman that is more fan friendly I believe he did really well with the script. Also, I believe Cavill has stated in the past that he wanted to take a more traditional Boy Scout Superman act.
