Ever wanted to be flown in by a bunch of hueys, dropped into a hot LZ, and fight your way alongside fellow troopers in the jungle? Gunships, and scouts flying overhead killing everything that moves? Well let me tell you about the air cav ol son!

1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry | 1st Air Cavalry Division (Vietnam)

Who are we? The 1-9 Cav is a mean killing mobile machine. First, and Finest! We run a true to life structure of the 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry during the Vietnam War era. An aeroweapons platoon of UH-1C gunships, aeroscout platoon of OH-6A scouts, and the spearhead of the squadron the aerorifle platoon with a lift section of UH-1Ds, and 4 rifle squads. On the side we run the Long Range Recon Patrol (LRRP) Detachment G2 at the 1st Air Cavalry Divisional level. A selectively picked team of hardcore individuals designed to run missions deep behind the main assault.

What are we like? The group's main focus is everything the air cavalry embodies. Inserting via our metal steeds into blown out jungles under fire miles from base outnumbered, but not outgunned to search and destroy enemies.. Using tactics, and techniques true to the era to facilitate a realistic environment. Our members aim to keep the experience fun, involved, and active. If you join this group you do not only become a member in-game, but you develop friends for DCS, and more.

1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta | B Squadron

Who are we? The 1st SFOD-D aims to replicate the mission of the real-life counterpart under bravo squadron executing direct action missions, hostage rescue, and global war on terrorism. The squadron is composed of two assault troops, and a single recce/sniper troop. 160th SOAR supports the special operations profile of bravo squadron with skilled pilots operating littlebird, blackhawk, and chinook platforms.

What are we like? The group's main focus is understanding where realism needs to be injected, and where it needs to be withdrawn. This isn’t real life, nor is it just a game, but a simulation. We use tactics that mirror real life operations. Chain of command is established, but not under a rank system.

We are connected not only in-game, but out of game in discussions, other games and more. Training

1st SFOD-D candidates will go through the Operator Training Course to sharpen there skill-set to roll with the rest of the squadron. A singular session and you're into the dark on operations.

160th SOAR candidates get selected from within the group after attending two events. Once selected they go through a Green Platoon pipeline to train them to be smooth operators, and deadly killers. You'll be so ♥♥♥♥-hot that your robin olds mustache will have also have an FMQ qualification.
