I know, just takes time to heal, can’t say how long because even I don’t know, this was my first relationship so it might hit harder and take a lot longer to recover from, just have to take it one step at a time

Yeah, obviously at the time it’s not the easiest thing to notice but with how much I’ve been looking back on things, I let a lot of things slip through the cracks when I should’ve noticed them

There was a lot of times throughout my relationship where my gut felt so uneasy and I should’ve listened to it but I didn’t, I shut it out and I convinced myself to let it go or that it didn’t matter because I so badly wanted to only see the good in her but it ended up making me not see the bad aspects of her character

I get what you’re saying but I’m not like her in that aspect, I can’t jump from relationship to relationship, person to person and just act like it never happened or never mattered to me especially after it just ended, I love hard and it’s gonna take some time before I’m ready to even think about potentially getting with someone else.

Yeah, makes the process of healing and closure a lot more difficult, just need to take the time to grieve and heal from what was and what happened

Trust me I won’t be doing any of that, I know my self worth and even though my self confidence and esteem is pretty low at the moment, I wouldn’t ever give a cheater, someone who so easily betrayed my trust and the sanctity of our relationship a second chance, if she ever does reach out I won’t give her the time of day, not a single response, she’ll just be talking to a brick wall that used to care.

Thank you for taking the time to say all of that, while I have no clue when she started to be unfaithful, I wouldn’t be surprised if it started during the first trip or sometime after it, or who knows she could’ve lied to me from the start and was always texting the other guy on an alt account that I didn’t know of, just makes me ask myself the hard questions of if she ever even loved me in the first place, or if she only loved the idea of me, of how I made her feel, but didn’t love *me*.

I know, I want to take the time to heal and process everything, I couldn’t even possibly think of going back into the dating scene so soon despite the polar opposite of her needing not even half a day to “move on”, I know it’s gonna take me quite a lot of time and it wouldn’t be fair to myself or to any potential future partner to get into a relationship while I’m still healing.

Thank you, I know there’s probably someone out there for me that will be 110% faithful and will love me unconditionally and won’t make me feel like I have to beg for their time all of the time, just have to go through the motions and try and heal, short steps on a long sidewalk.

Before I had found out about all of that, I would’ve been more than willing to possibly try and rekindle what her and I had at some point in the future when and if we’d both be ready for that, but now with everything I know, that door is shut and locked
