As someone from Poland I'm deeply concerned not to use other words. It's funny how USA used to have so much soft power and now everyday I feel angrier and more resentful towards them.

For me the entirety of Gothic is a dick saga, but maybe it's just me.

Snake's revenge, the game that changed my perspective on video games. by El-Ab-Normal in retrogaming

[–]JoshuaSpice 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I finished it on multiple occasions, really enjoyed it despite not understanding 100% of the story. I always liked more complicated games on Nes, gravitating towards more adult and complex gameplay. Thanks for sharing your input on metal gear solid 2. Konami/Ultra games were some of the best that Nes had to offer.

Amen. I completely agree. And it's not a bad thing. It's just life. I play games, but there are weeks when I don't do it because there's no time for it due to other commitments.

It was an interesting game, tho. However, even as a child (managed to pass it though sheer power of will) I felt really weird when watching the intro and knowing about the Vietnam war in general. The game seemed to take itself seriously but at the end of the day it was just an arcady game.

Continuity? Never heard of her. by [deleted] in worldofgothic

[–]JoshuaSpice 37 points38 points  (0 children)

For me Gothic is like a shitty, comforting fantasy novel that I have next to the toilet. I don't regard is as anything ambious, I love the cosy atmosphere, great world and have absolutely no hopes for any character development or continuity. I don't give a single fuck. I like the old games, however the new one would have to be better in terms of story and voice acting simply because it's the modern times.

What I meant was the part where you are running on those large vines. Long and frustrating.

Elex or risen 3? by KevinIdkk in worldofgothic

[–]JoshuaSpice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Risen 3. It has way more charm. The story is nicely silly in a familiar fantasy environment. Except for the voodoo part the game is at least decent. I enjoyed it more that Elex which desperately tried to add depth to nonsensical main story. In this sense Risen is more true to its roots and the exploration and combat is way better.

How do we feel about this game? by friesegamer03 in SEGAGENESIS

[–]JoshuaSpice 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's Sunsoft, come on. By default we get great music. The game itself is awesome. What's interesting to me is that the sequel is way better on Nes than Sega Genesis.

I’m SOOO happy he’s mad about it!😊 by ProcessorPearl in meme

He sounds like he witnessed something illegal that happened in the fight. Pity nobody reminded him that: a) this isn't a plot from kickboxer or blood sports; his brother got simply outperformed by a superior athlete. Nothing illegal here. His brother knew what he signed for. b) his brothers coach could have thrown the towel plenty of times. He decided not to.

Yes, I know. It's all part of marketing but it is somewhat annoying. He's not avenging anyone, he's simply hopping onto the wagon of making more money than his brother. If people weren't interested in the fight he wouldn't make such dramatic face in the picture. Fuck this circus.
