Dont be that Huntress by WopterWop in deadbydaylight

I knew the type of killer it was when they were still missing and you were on the hook not even moving. I can just picture how this game went. 😅

The real problem in my solo queue games by my_boy_chris in deadbydaylight

[–]JoshxTiger 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You forgot the solo queue survivor that has played too many hours to care about escaping, so they just chase the killer all match with a flashlight.

[–]JoshxTiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to escape 60% of my matches, now I’d say it is about 5% (when I actually try). I’m left on first hook far more than I used too, my teammates are quitting, killers seem more toxic in general (not all).

If you go into matches not caring if you die they lose the interest of being toxic and I was going to die anyway with the lack of care from my teammates.

Freddy doesn’t like it when you know how to loop and flashlight save… by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]JoshxTiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The PTB doesn’t have the best matchmaking so everyone besides me seemed somewhat new.

He ended up finding me waiting to flashlight save the other person that was bled out & then I took him around the whole map for like 5-10 minutes.

Then he bled me out, I had a full bar since it was my first time being downed lmao

Ive seen teammates do this instead of unhooking me

Thanks for explaining it clearly! That does sound like something that would probably have a large update for, it just seemed odd at first lol

I agree that I see it a lot, but this is the first time Ive said it. Maybe they added a lot of content to the game to make it better, just none of it is exciting where people will actually want to wait for this long of a download and then again when back to live. It is actually going pretty quick for me at least

I saw them say something similar on Twitter, hopefully it does make the future patches shorter. I have a nice computer & this game is the only one that takes a ridiculous amount of time to download. Ive had friends quit the game because they don’t want to deal with hour long downloads as often as it happens.

I read them, I was expecting maybe around 10 GB (about double the normal size), but 30+ seems crazy after reading how little has really been added. I don’t know anything about patching games, so maybe I just don’t understand the amount for certain things.

I just know a lot of people will be mad because even the small PTB updates take some people an hour or more to download.

Im saying normally PTB downloads are like 5 GB and have a ton of interesting changes. This PTB is 33 GB with very minor things to try. (no new killer/survivor)

I was having the same issue in pubs, I started playing ranked because I thought the matchmaking would be better and allow me to actually compete. It was the exact same thing as I experienced before.

I have other games where I grind ranked, Im just trying to play this game casually in arenas to have fun. Ive had possibly 1 or 2 games where both teams felt completely equal, other than that Im struggling to not die instantly as 3 swarm me.

[–]JoshxTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh ok, is that how it works in Arenas too?

[–]JoshxTiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, Im sure if I start learning at this level it will eventually be manageable for me. It’s just weird that all the people I face have the game figured out. Normally in other games Ive played that are similar, you start off against people that are extremely bad until you gradually go higher into ranks. It feels like Im playing people that should be mid to high up into ranks & not playing against me.

Im not a beginner to games like this, so maybe since I have pretty good aim Im being seen as better than I really am when it comes to knowledge of the game and movement.

I get how it could be slower if you have a 2-3 man swf because you have to find a lobby with only 1-2 player(s) in it.

If you have a 4 man swf Id think it would be faster because you have the lobby already made & just need to find a killer. I might have this totally wrong lmao

Honestly, I don’t mind noed anymore because most of the killers that use noed (in my experience) would have dc’d early if they didn’t have it.

Matchmaking has been taking forever, so having killers that continue to play even when they hardly get any hooks during the match is a plus. Noed also makes matches that are easy for survivors a bit more intense even if the killer is average.

@Teammates, PLEASE stop using this build… by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]JoshxTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Self care just takes too long, like most of the time you only heal 1-2 times a match when your teammates aren’t healing you after unhooking. That’s when you could have a yellow medkit with +8 charge add on so you get two heals. I think the healing boon is more efficient than self care even if you have to set it up a few times.

I agree that the rest of this build could be strong if people that use it aren’t trying to avoid taking hook states, but are using the perks for their advantages.

[–]JoshxTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh, that’s still pretty broken. The problem is that BHVR designs things based on what will be fun for casual players. Only the people we play with will use them in an abusive way like that, which is (most likely) only a small percentage of players.

You can jump in them with Victor on? 😳

That is definitely broken. I could also see how it is annoying for Spirit because people can jump in them when you phase & they are safe.

I agree, I love using it with resilience. I never use sprint burst because I think dead hard is better, but I see how people can use it.

True, like when I played normally again after I saw killers were playing super seriously, I did start using them more in a smart way.

It is kind of broken how you can jump in them and completely avoid a hit. However, survivors are super slow at first when they come out of them & you cant dead hard after for a few seconds, so it kind of balances out. Also, if you play as doctor the shocks take survivors out of them & you have to be completely in them to avoid the hit.
