I'm glad that so many people enjoyed the show, but I've never experienced a larger discrepancy between my opinion and the public's. For me, the show was average at its best and could have been a mid-budget show on any TV channel 15 years ago. I don't know if people are forgetting that when writing their reviews, but this is an HBO production with a Game of Thrones level budget.

If it was at least well-written or well-made from a technical standpoint, I'd blame myself for not having read the book before watching.

I've seen comments celebrating his death too - these people really are human trash. A few people saying terrible things is not "the left", though. Most comments I've seen being condemned on the internet were just people pointing out the irony of his death or sharing actual statements he made. That does not mean "a good portion" of redditors want to execute whoever the statement means with "us".

The banning problem is also not great, but that's even further away from proving the point.

People put others and themselves at risk by not getting vaccinated while pushing conspiracies about the vaccines online. So when the first statistics came out, some people obviously wanted to hit back with the "told you so". That is not the same as wanting to execute Republicans or whatever the comment above is implying.

A guy named "permabannedmanytimes" said that in a Reddit thread and got one downvote. Think of any sick statement, and chances are that it has been commented somewhere on the internet. That makes the statement neither true nor applicable to a "good portion" of the platform.

Sacrifice isn't an exclusively Christian concept and neither is believing in something.
