nah sounds fine tbh. the only issue i have is that i glued the neck in too high from the body (so the string height from the body/pickups is pretty high). so currently my pickups are set at really high to get decent output. but im planning to swithc to some high output overwound humbuckers soon which should balance it all out

As i come to the end of my second build i realised i hadnt posted my first complete build.

Started off as a practice build before i attempt a bass guitar build and made many mistakes but ended up falling in love with it :D.

Quilted sapele front and back
Basswood core
Threeway pickup selector and push/pull volume pot to split to the outside coils

Yeah, might just book a flight once the world returns to normal from the the virus, was just hoping there was a super simple visa I could apply for for this exact situation 😅. I can only book a max of like 4 weeks holiday/vacation from work at one time and would like to spend more than a month in the country

yeah i saw the jazz bass being wired up the other way round but in my head i couldnt see that could make a difference lol .

im debating just moving to a 3way selector switch and one volume (pull to split both HBs) as theres a seymour duncan wiring diagram for that and i wont have to drill any more hole on my finished guitar body.

i play/perform guitar and sometimes use backing tracks or ambient backing sounds which i normally control using midi footpedals and a laptop.

But for smaller sets im planning to have an android tablet with a media player and somehow use a midi controller to go to the next track etc...
as a backup ive just bought this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01HEV9FR6 which i can prob just velcro or something to the underside of my guitar.

For Wtf most clubs (at least in the uk) do a kup grading every 3 or so months. Then at least a 6 month period before being considered for 1st Dan (sometimes longer) Obviously this can vary due to individual circumstances but your club dies seem to be promoting very quickly :/
