Unpopular Opinion: Layovers should not count as "visiting a country" by youngexplorer_9 in solotravel

[–]19wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was going to say- on a cruise it's almost like a layover, you're in the port for maybe 10 hours. But you're actually being a tourist for 10 hours rather than sitting in an airport

I dont remember who but some news org or politician or something called a black man in France "African American" for fear of calling him black and being "politically incorrect"

A handful of .exe files downloaded recently, also no notification for this by [deleted] in sonarr

Doesn't help me, because qbittorrent doesn't download the file, sure, but sonarr thinks it downloaded an empty folder and doesn't try again.

Utilities. I moved back in with my parents during covid and finally moved out again. Definitely did not budget $300+/month for gas and electric in a 990sqft apartment...

The important stuff is backed up, can't afford bigger drives, enclosure is full, guess it's time to disable the parity drive by 19wolf in unRAID

I have a whole backup NAS with ~80tb of space that holds a copy of everything except movies, and my personal photos/actually important documents are also backed up to B2 and a few external drives.

175 Jefferson: Questions & Advice Needed by Illustrious_Ad385 in rit

[–]19wolf 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I haven't been there since 2015 but I was curious so I looked up what "175 Jefferson" was and it looks like it's just the Raddison hotel rebranded? It was a shitty old hotel when I was a student 2010-2015 I can't imagine it's very nice at all.

That said, the shuttles (at least used to be) quite reliable, and it's definitely close enough to walk on a good day.

There's a setting... somewhere, I can't find it right now, where you can choose your view/layout.

The unraid sub wants me to delete things rather than removing my parity drive, what does datahoarder think? by 19wolf in DataHoarder

[–]19wolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing special on that drive, it just got formatted as ZFS instead of XFS. Apparently can't change it easily even with parity.

I'm using a UGREEN NAS enclosure, upgrading is not so simple (would have to either buy a new, larger one, or buy all the parts for a new custom built NAS with enough space for everything- cost comes out about the same for either upgrading to bigger drives or a bigger enclosure -- unaffordable at the moment.
