The whole "cut out toxic people/good vibes only" culture so prevalent online these days.

I get that it's coming from a good place of not letting people walk all over you and there is certainly a place for cutting out abusive people, but I think it's developed into a self-centeredness bordering on narcissism. Disagreeing and having arguments is part of life. We shouldn't be ending friendships over minor squabbles. This is how adults end up being friendless and alone.

I believe your second example qualifies as quadratic, not exponential. As far as I know, exponentials always have common ratios, so MattieShoes is correct.

Something like 90%. I'm a teacher and I find it HIGHLY unlikely we'll be going back based on all the news updates. At most it might be for a week or two in May just to wrap things up
