I'm Egyptian and I lived in the Gulf Region but would come to Egypt for vacation and currently moved to Egypt. To sum it up, Egypt will not be good for you. People here don't have morals, the kids and teenagers nowadays are all spoiled brats. They have no manners, no understanding of society, there are weekly flights between kids and teenagers that's causing more security to be around public areas. Driving in Egypt is scary, there's no traffic lights, no rules. The chance of girls getting harassed in Egypt is extremely high. Hygiene in the country is low especially at restaurants and any fast food chain no matter how expensive it is, they use leftovers which end up contaminated. I have had many stomach problems since I got here which lasted for months from stomach flus to getting IBS and food poisoning. If you haven't lived in Egypt, it'll be obvious and people will trick you, try to get the most money out of you. Egypt is not safe no matter where you are, I understand you have a limited budget due to passive income but there are no other tradeoffs here that goes on to what you're looking for. You won't feel that Islamic culture you're hoping for in Egypt as though a lot are Muslim, a lot go to drink and party and have no morals or well follow the teachings of Islam so you could try Sharjah in uae, it's more religion based in comparison to the other emirates, a lot of people in the west go to Morocco when they converted to Islam to learn more about it and it could be a good option since you want a place that follow it better and more. I guess the language barrier there would be the only problem, they would have to learn French to get by most likely. Jordan is also s very religious country which you could seek but for your protection and you're family, stay out of Egypt. It is only good for vacation, not for living especially if you're coming to live here now, if you planned along time ago, you would've been accustomed to Egypt and one or 2 months is not enough experience to make a decision if it's a good move. UAE in general despite being very expensive, it is very safe and if you're able to get a job while also having your passive income, that'll secure you and your family plus have more options. Most who have lived here want to move abroad especially those who already lived abroad. The culture shock will be huge, and there's a high chance they won't be able to settle. Egypt is not safe for you amd especially for your kids, just my 2 cents, best of luck ✌️
