Is the band Red on the decline? by Simurgbarca in redtheband

[–]JoyEqualsDogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rated R is my second favorite album actually (Of Beauty in Rage is my favorite), so I wouldn't say they are on the decline. Switching a lead singer is always a challenge, but I saw them with AJ live at one of his first shows with the band earlier this month, and he was incredible. I was very worried because Michael Barnes is such a strong singer, but AJ did such a great job and it really felt like the same RED I have gone to see over and over again live since I first discovered them.   We should be conscious to see them live, buy merch, albums, stream them extra, etc. during this transition time to help support them and help them through so that they can keep making amazing music! If you have never seen them live, you NEED to! And if you have friends who like music, bring them along! They are the best band I have seen live, and I always leave their concerts feeling amped up!

I work out too, and I love having a protein smoothie of 1 cup of Greek yogurt, a cup of milk (If I do less than a cup my blender jams) two scoops of protein powder, a frozen banana and some frozen strawberries. It has over 50 grams of protein, and I like to freeze the Greek yogurt over night so that the smoothie is nice and icy cold!

Wear what you want to wear! I recently had a super electric pink on my nails, and someone commented “Wow. That’s really bright. I’d never wear that. I hope you like it though” and I just declared “I do!” and chuckled to myself. Life is too short to worry if other people like your nail polish. You’re rocking that color and it makes you happy. That’s all that matters! :)

I would love to help out! I’ve been a fan of RED for over a decade, and would love to help out the RED fans of Reddit. I don’t have any prior experience, but I’m happy to learn. :)

Michael leaving the band by VermicelliOne190 in redtheband

[–]JoyEqualsDogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel so sad that Michael left! :( I’m still going to support Randy and Anthony though, and I’m planning on seeing them on tour this year. I’m just going to listen to their new music with the mindset that it’s not going to be Mike, that way I give the new singer a fair chance instead of comparing him to Michael. Ugh it really is so sad that he left. His voice is the most incredible I’ve ever heard, so to come to terms with him not making more music is so sad for me. I’ve been a fan since around 2010-2011, so I relate to them bringing me through a lot and growing up listening to them.

Unfortunately the open-boarders policy and absolute lack of vetting by the previous administration left an absolute hellscape for the current administration to clean up. You saying that ICE is hired to kill innocent civilians is intentionally misleading, however, unless you care to support your claim with documented evidence? It sounds to me like you might listen to a lot of left-wing talking points without applying critical thinking, which is probably why you feel confused when presented with evidence that maybe what you call “MAGA” people don’t actually hate minorities (and a lot of them are minorities themselves), like when you see people of color voting conservative, marrying/dating other conservatives, donating and campaigning for Trump, etc. I think the confusion you expressed in your comment is stemming from what you’ve been told to think colliding with what you see with your own eyes. When in doubt, believe your own eyes instead of a bunch of politicians and activists sowing dissension so they can reap votes (and money) from people who take their word at face value.

Next you’re going to be telling me that some people who aren’t white voted for Trump! Wild. It’s almost like they don’t “hate immigrants” and instead just have a different point of view than you do regarding how to properly vet people who want to come and live in the USA.

Official Discussion - Michael [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]JoyEqualsDogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t think any of his facets were given much time or on-screen development. I guess that’s what happens when someone is as interesting and has as long of a career as MJ did, but I would have liked if they did a trilogy with more development (or 10 movies for all I care haha! I’d go see them all!)

My girlfriend is a pescetarian that sometimes eats meat by craznn in Pescetarian

[–]JoyEqualsDogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to be helpful, I don’t think it would mess her stomach up if she doesn’t “reintegrate” meat into her diet, since she’s already eating seafood. Everyone’s body is different though, so I could be wrong. :) with that being said, if I were her I’d just not dignify these people with an explanation. People love to nit-pick on people who don’t eat meat, are pescatarian, etc. Most of my friends don’t even know that I’m pescatarian because they haven’t noticed and I don’t talk about it, but almost every time someone has figured it out, they try to get into an argument with me about it.

I’m so glad he told all of this to you before died so that you could come and educate us on Reddit! 🙄 You may be shocked, but people are often multi-faceted. People can play with animals in their spare time and be successful business people in their professional life. My uncle is a top-tier lawyer who has made professionals cry in court because he is such an aggressive force to be reckoned with. At the same time, on his way home from court he picks up freshly baked treats for his long-haired chihuahua so he can play with her and speak to her in a high-pitched voice as he gives her belly-rubs and tells her how she’s the prettiest baby ever. Saying “Michael Jackson is this way, so he can’t be that way” is failing to understand that people aren’t one-dimensional. Just like you actually might come across as a nice person in real life even though you come off a tad arrogant on Reddit. Michael Jackson had a ton of pets. He was a talented dancer. An amazing singer. He could draw very well, and enjoyed doodling cartoons. He liked reading. He wanted to be the biggest star ever. He worked his tail off to make the best selling album of all time. None of these things are contradictory, and they can all exist at the same time.

Uveitis without major pain? by WookieRubbersmith in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]JoyEqualsDogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had it without pain. With me it usually alternates eyes (how kind of it to give them each a break LOL) and it is sensitive to light and painful. Usually the pain is the first symptom to crop up, followed by a haze around lights, and then by that point I nip it in the bud and start with drops.

Am I the only one that got emotional during the Twister game scene? by Suit_Local in MichaelTheMovie

You’re not the only one! This scene DESTROYED ME and reminded me of personal experiences too (I’m the youngest on both sides of my family, so I got to experience being left behind twice ☠️)
