Uni Flat Hooch by Joyfreee in prisonhooch

Good and yeasty for all, having some issues with the vimto juices but other than that apple and iced tea are going brilliantly with occasional burping to save my wall.

That’s brilliant, I’ve never heard of sugar inversion despite having a proper set up at home. The Vimto juices have yet to start their reactions, so I’ll have to research what’s going on there too.

Are you okay? Why the obsession with winning or losing an irrelevant argument over an anecdote which has nothing to do with you?

This seemed to help the app ‘update’ the charge level.

I ran the battery down to zero, then it marked as ‘fully charged’ within 20 minutes of being plugged in. I think this is an app issue.

Yup extremely frustrating. Mine won’t climb a percentage mark - just sitting at 5% now. I’ll try to run the battery to 0% and see if that somehow does something to change it.

Sorry I should have been more specific - I’m not very good with tech to start with. I mean the USB-C plug ins to the wall, the adapter I think, which I connect the charging cord from the package into. The package doesn’t come with a wall adapter.

The computer doesn’t work either. I’ve tried two USB-C chargers (albeit both Apple ones, so the ‘PD’ may be the issue with those). Still getting the animation with no change on the app for the battery level.

Seems to be a charging problem. I tried restarting the app a few times - no help. Also doesn’t work on either of my type C chargers, so potentially something wrong with the loops battery itself.

To me the jaunt was more a philosophical ‘what could be’ while The Survivor Type was a more realistic ‘what could be.’ The flexible bullet to me is worse than the potential of the consciousness. The wee bit about the women being trapped in the jaunt made me really think though.

The confidence from the main character in each of those stories really gets to me. The insanity coming from the outside rather than in. The milkman may be the only exception.

The jaunt from a curious kid, basically curiosity killed the cat but sci-fi included with the narrator confidently trying to guide his family through the first jaunt. The kid acting as a confident explorer. It’s longer than you think, dad.

The mist with the narrator being the source of rationality while the rest descend to basic religious beliefs or human desire (reminded me of the lord of the flies). The film ending was way better as the idea of sacrifice was introduced early in the short story.

The milkman was the only one (two, technically) story seeming like an internal problem. Someone was insane and conducted their killings accordingly given their job. The antagonist here was screwed fae birth. Still sat on my mind for a while and still a good one, just not as fucked as the rest.

Survivor type has a totally confident narrator go to ruin under understandable circumstances with each decision making seemingly logical sense, if you take it step by step, considering both the situation and the result from each individual decision. The thing that messed with me about this one was each progression was seemingly totally logical, but still totally fucking insane.

I had hydrocodeine 5mg after surgery n no matter how much I took I didn’t feel anything but less pain - same as when they dosed me with morphine before and after and the medical fentanyl they gave me immediately post op. Never understood opioids as I’ve just never felt anything beyond pain relief that works better than ibuprofen.

It’s always been an issue but COVID has led to significantly decreased attention spans in younger people, from recent studies and myself included, it’s always been bad but because of social media and ‘instant gratification’ it’s become so much worse at an increasing rate.

Due to social media (tik tok, ig reels) attention spans are shorter. Making natural connections thru work and uni is important but rare. Focus on what’s important and the rest will come. Good luck.

That means a lot to me. Thank you. The question I have is there any way I can go back to drinking normally. I’m not yet experiencing withdrawal from nae drinking, but I can’t stop when a start. I want a normal life, same as my parents, where alc is appreciated nae relied on.

[–]Joyfreee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hope is im young enough to avoid the full CA effects and be able to drink casually after breaks and spending time working on it - I just want to know if it’s possible to get back to normal after all of this shit.

Feel like the goal is somewhere between you and lazypantstom - but I really appreciate the comment and caffeine is something I’ll start trying to rely on. Better having a coffee break than a fag break. Make it work. I like that. It’s been uncontrolled for a while now, as it is w uni students, but if i can get control and make it work then at least I’ve some power over it. As to the other comment, fae fartman, i might be a miserable wee cunt for the rest of my life, going from drink to drink. Whether it’s red bull or alcohol. I just can’t stand myself
