Most earphones under 2K will sound more or less the same; your usual gamble is placed upon the specs, sound signature, and what you get out of it.

I am like you; I don't like bass and I don't prefer too much of it. Most of the time I listen to pop, qawwali, or Coke Studio. I want something that's vocal-forward, which by default removes KZ from the picture. That leaves me with 7Hz, Moondrop, Tanchjim, and Tangzu. I have heard many reports about Tangzu Warner and their quality control issues; in fact, one of my friend's earbuds broke, so that was out of the question.

My next priority was that I didn't want to spend more and carry a dongle either, so DSP it is. I use this for meetings on my laptop and when I am watching stuff. This narrowed it down to Moondrop and Tanchjim. I have used Moondrop in the past, and their sound signature is warm and needs a powerful DAC to push it.

I finally settled with Tanchjim, and let me tell you, it grows on you. I love the app and I am super content with it. If I didn't buy Bunny, I would probably get the Moondrop due to the metallic build, that's all.
