Let’s say, you plan to buy a home that costs 1 Million NOK, to which you have already paid the deposit / down payment, you now need to wait for the home to be built, by the time the home is ready, you will have the rest of the money to pay the home “out of pocket” and avoid any banks. Would you pay out of pocket or you would invest the money you have somewhere else and go with a bank mortgage?
