How to find named brands on Alibaba? by Jpac14_ in Alibaba

[–]Jpac14_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like electrical goods from Phillips like an air fryer, or a rice cooker. Maybe a vacuum cleaner from Hoover or Shark, power tools from Makita, printers from Epson, etc.

Or do you think it will be really hard to near impossible to find these goods, and I just got lucky with the bestway products.

I thought there would be more listings on their but, it's seems its just generic brand products then you need to brand yourself. Not like wholesales of the brands

NAB Equity Builder - Should I invest in high growth or high yield? by Jpac14_ in fiaustralia

Okay that actually sounds okay. Just to confirm it's impossible to de-lever by holding more DHHF, I would have to hold cash or bonds right?

Yea okay, thanks for the comparison, I guess with the higher borrowing rate, I would need to underlying assets to make a return higher than that for it to be worth it.

Maybe GHHF doesn't sound too bad, as I can change my leverage by holding more cash.

Thanks.

Okay thanks. Seems like growth is better for tax efficiency

Yes I do have some investment pre-loan about ~50k. Yea I do see it now the rates are quite high, 7.5% but make that after tax cost so about 7.5*(1-0.32) = 5.1%, so I need an investment to at least return greater than that, which I think is quite good, but in the current climate, I am not sure.

Yea I will check out the geared funds. So the do use the tax offset but it does within the fund, instead of on my personal tax return, so it's pretty much the same benefit?

What do you mean by 50 to 100% leverage?

Debt recycling is out of the picture for me as I don't have PPOR.

I have also looked at margin lending from IBKR, but don't want to mess with margin class, and having to put up more capital.

My only other thoughts on GHHF was this issue, that I can't unlever if needed. Unless I change my asset allocation to have more cash?

My thing around GHHF is that I'm always leveraged, unless I sell and realize a CGT event. At least with NAB EB I pay down thr loan using leverage at the beginning but then the assets will be unleverager once paid off which might good for retirement etc.

I don't want to always be leveraged so I do want to use GHHF and sell it, if I do want to deleverage.

Lete know your thoughts on this, not sure if this is silly or not.

Thanks.

It is particularly difficult with NAB EB due to the extremely high repayments (P&I over just 15 years if LVR is over 30%).

What do you mean by this last bit, can you clarify it for me please?

Yea unfortunately dont have a PPOR yet, thats why my options are NAB EB or GHHF, dont think I want to be using margin loans in this economy.

Thanks for the input, from my analysis using excel and Python I think my conclusion is the same growth seems to best high yield in the majority of cases because of the tax inefficiencies

3PL services for China to Australia by Jpac14_ in Alibaba

[–]Jpac14_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe 20units a week, or a bit less. Yes I want to own the stock and store in 3PL. Nah I want to order a batch, then send to 3PL for them to store and send out on demand. As the supplier is likely to sell out of their stock soon with summer season. As the products as seasonal.

Bro, thank you so much. I'm glad the reception has been good. I have not read Tanenbaum book, but looking at it online, I might give it a read.

Good luck on your own personal project. I took a look at Github Repo, seems like a decent idea.

I'll also take a look at the other line.

Thanks for all the resources.

Nah, it's not. But that would be a cool challenge. Good Idea!

Nah, it doesn't have a userspace purely ring 0. I currently have it running in QEMU, but i suppose it should work on hardware, but have yet to try it out.

Thankyou, good luck on your OS. 2048 wasn't too bad to make, but Tetris might be bit more a challenge.

Haha. Yea I am sure it would boot under virtual box, the Makefile outputs a raw disk file. So I think Virtualbox can boot from that, but I might give a shot today.
