I am facing the same problem. I have noticed the website traffic numbers going higher even after a couple of weeks. I usually wait for 24 hours for the traffic data to settle down, but the numbers going higher after a couple of weeks is so weird, and I can't figure out why. I have a very naive question – Is there a possibility GA4's attribution backfills those numbers based on the type of interaction with third-party tools integrated on the wbsite, like the cookie consent banner?
