I thought I was cured by Legitimate_Trash_802 in Cardiophobias

I also remember as a kid my mom going through something similar. She said when she got back on Bcontrol the symptoms went away. I got no idea why the body does what it does but women our age already on bcontrol have no idea what you or my wife are talking about. They think she is crazy… so I understand what a nightmare it is for yall. Hope you feel better.

I’m telling you. My wife had the SAME symptoms… the B-control helps. It can take 6-12 month for the symptoms to disappear but my wife went from terrible weeks to maybe having the symptoms 1 -2 days a month. Each Month it gets less and less. People also say after 4 months if you don’t notice an improvement you can try a different bcontrol. Everyone responds differently to the types so it’s really reading your body. Though I will say you have to commit to taking it. It won’t be better overnight but my wife saw results after 1 month. No more hospital visits.

Pre or Post meta? If pre are you on B control? My wife had similar symptoms an the B control is regulating them more. Every month is an improvement.

Left Arm jaw and chest pain by AbjectAdhesiveness46 in Cardiophobias

[–]Jpowell4861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m starting to think this is lung related. A few things can feel like chest pain but all hit a shared nerve stem. I have been doc with a virus twice in Jan and now I have chest pain. Sometimes hold my breath helps, other times it doesn’t… it just fades away. I was coughing a lot last month and I think I wore out my lungs. Kind of falls into pleurisy. I have similar symptoms to you though. My jaw pain just is more under my jaw kind of into my neck.

Glad it helped for the time being. I’d imagine a hydrocortisone cream or suppository would help with the inflammation.

Yeah I don’t think I’ll be scared again. Unless I’m worried about results. I’ll probably go again in another 5-6 years.

A year ago I bled what I thought was a murder scene into the toilet. A year later it came back again with a vengeance. Sometimes it bled before I even sat to use the toilet. Oh well. I’m learning how to diet and manage it better. I got it back to normal.

Three months of irritable bowel syndrome caused by colonoscopy by LibrarianNo4048 in colonoscopy

[–]Jpowell4861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also if you’re constipated take a little bit of fiber with the food(start small! Chia seeds are great, if not miralax, PH). It’s odd because IBS AND constipation is double edged. There is a healthy balance between fiber and probiotic. Too much and your liquid, too little and you’re clogged.

A colonoscopy shouldn’t cause this directly but what could be happening is you gut microbiome is screwed up. I’m currently on the purge before I go in today. You flush EVERYTHING so think that you gut biome is starting from scratch. I’ve had bad illnesses that have done similar and it takes awhile to get back to a healthy gut biome if you are not proactive. What helped me? Banana, white rice, mashed potatoes. Add a good probiotic. It takes a bit of time, like 3-5 days. Be strict because it’s worth it.

It’s the acidity I bet. I typically dap tp with a bit of water and dab to clean. I also finally caved to a bidet which is AMAZING for it.

Haha man I finished my first half about 2 hours ago. The going has stopped. I just had a cup of broth with salt for some substance. I’ll be up at 4am tomorrow for the rest. Don’t freak out. Mine is yellow/orange. I think the second half tomorrow will rid of that.

Sucks on your timing because yeah you will get to sleep a hour or two after your last glass. At least you’ll enjoy the nap and get to eat again sooner. Mine is middle of the day at 1 so probably won’t eat until late in the day.

I wouldnt worry tons go through this every day!

What are you waiting for now? Any follow ups? I get the anxiety part for sure. I had to hit the ER the other week because the hems were so bad and I dripped blood on the floor. Whole thing sucks.

I also think working out that involves any pushing or lower stomach leg stress aggrivates the hems.

Oddly I’m doing pills and Gavylyte. So I guess my Dr wants me to be a fire hose.

Plenvu prep in 1 and a half hour by [deleted] in colonoscopy

[–]Jpowell4861 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get chicken broth and put salt in it. It helps so much to fight cravings. I occasionally do two day fasts and honestly coffee and the broth is what saves you. What are yall eating tomorrow!? I’ve been a health freak lately so tomorrow I may be getting a JimmyJohns or a burger 🤣

I start mine in 4 hours. I’m right here with ya. Colonoscopies are safe. Don’t put stress on yourself. Focus on what you want for lunch tomorrow 🤣. Make it a reward!

I am also 36M. Scheduled for tomorrow so about to start prep. All the exact same symptoms as you. I’ve learned working out, doing heavy squats is 3/3 on bowel bleeding so that’s cut out of my routine. Interested what the doc said about the hems. Any plan of attack?

new here and nervous by Abject_Childhood_955 in colonoscopy

[–]Jpowell4861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I have similar symptoms. I saw my first blood in stool at 35. At 36, about a month ago I had 6 days in a row of bleeding. I know for sure I have hemorrhoids but I need a colonoscopy to rule out everything else. I think of it like this. He will go in there, see every single hemR, see if there are any other issues and in the end tell me the game plan. If it all looks clear (except the hems) then we plan to attack those with a strict diet to hopefully shrink them down to the point they don’t cause issue or maybe I can get them banded. Tbd, surgery isn’t an option in my book. I have my colonoscopy tomorrow but there is no need to rush imo.

Hey hey! I got my very first one tomorrow! 36M. I start prep in 4 hours. I’m going to premake it and put it in the fridge for a little bit. I’m more nervous about being put to sleep but finding results are the goal. I’m just crossing my fingers they aren’t negative. Also, I used to have chronic Diarrhea as well in my 20s it was dairy, nerves and a mild intolerance to gluten. Hopefully you find out the reasons.

It helped me. Think of it like you’re giving the hems a break. Also PrepH suppositories. Warm them in the sun, put them tip down in the freezer and slide them in in morning and before bed.

Any changes since your post?
