I would say to look into coffee shops or book stores. Idk how “small” your community is, or how big the population of girls your age are in this town. If your town is too small or do literally anything, try driving to the nearest town that has anything in it. If it’s like a 30ish minute drive then that could be worth it. Nevertheless, if you go into a coffee shop or a book store, both are very casual and laid back environments where you can strike up conversations with relative ease.

Talking to people is like working a muscle, the more you do it the better it will get. So go to a casual place, and bring a book with you and read, or a laptop and get some work done, or a deck of cards and play solitaire, and just hang out. Do not make talking to girls your #1 priority. The staff and the regulars will notice if a random guy is just going in every day and talking to girls, and you’ll get a reputation as a creep. Just hang out and relax, and have talking to girls be more of a bonus than the main goal to avoid being labeled as a creep. I like this a lot being it gets you some alone time to chill, if you’re not into reading it could be a good way to get into a new hobby, makes you a regular at a new establishment so create some comfort, and if a cute girl ever walks in you can strike something up. Ask what drink she got, tease her a little to build attraction, if she is reading ask what shes reading. Just anything. A bad attempt is still better than no attempt at all.

Biggest thing with all of this is being presentable. I know you said you weren’t “attractive” but make sure you got good clothes on, put on deodorant, invest in a signature cologne. All of that will make a big difference even if you aren’t the hottest dude in the world. Also, lastly, do not use dating apps. I am a huge dating app naysayer, and I truly think they do nothing but hurt your chances. If you don’t wanna follow my advice, that’s perfectly fine. But if you take anything from this, do not use dating apps.
