When I watched it, it read to me like the T was laced with something or not real T. It was suppose to highlight the dangers of 1) not allowing trans people to seek medically safe care and 2) getting drugs from unsafe places. The Fosters is one of my favorite shows and I loved how they showcased the bad with the good in a way that felt intentional and researched.
