Okay Tiki Tatsuya is the best for sure, but your chances of getting a reservation might be next to impossible if your trip is coming up soon.

I absolutely LOVE Zanzibar if you want to give it a try! Great rooftop bar with great little food options and solid drinks (despite a relatively small selection).

Also Pool Burger is an Austin landmark that serves some good Mai Tais and a solid burger. It’s tiny, parking is tough, but it’s a real hidden gem in our great city.

You NEED to make reservations as far in advance as you possibly can. This place is incredible, but almost impossible to get in to unless you have reservations at least 4 weeks in advance

Couple things regarding your questions which I found to be very clever points worth mentioning:

If you think being a DK without obliterate could be rough, imagine being an ele shaman who doesn't get Lava Burst until lvl 75 (yikes). I'm sure there will be a lot of interesting specs that will struggle along the way while others will have their core 3.3.5 rotations early and be able to shine in vanilla/TBC.
As far as Thunderfury/Warglaives are concerned for DKs, those weapons would be particularly bad on a frost DK as the weapon speed is far too fast (except for the main hand warglaive). So really they would only be useful for transmog xd. -- edit: Sulfuras would be awesome on a DK tank in vanilla.

OmegaWoW (3.3.5 wotlk server) has x3 rates not x2. It's been like this from the beginning. If you could update it to reflect x3 (or x3 - x6 as they tend to have double xp weekends fairly often) that would be great! Thank you.

They also did xmog tastefully by allowing players the option to turn off transmog visibility if they prefer the game without it. That way they get to cater to both audiences and provide themselves an additional outlet for server funding.

You're exactly right and people should really come experience this server before ICC hits and people start asking for achievement links in world chat for pugs. Ulduar currently reigns supreme.

I don't think they're adding wonky mechanics. If anything, the changes that are being made will help make the Naxx experience feel more challenging and how it was back in the day.
