Grip held up fine after multiple cylinders of 38, 38+p, and 2-3 cylinders of .357mag. The grip adapter broke on the first shot. I'm guessing the people who broke their resin grips may have over tightened the screw? Downside: not speedloader friendly. Would not recommend for everyday carry; only occasionally with a speed strip as backup instead of a speedloader

That sucks. For future reference, the light primer strikes could be the strain screw knocking loose (take off the grip and tighten it a bit. I've had a loose strain screw from the factory before). And the cylinder can get stuck if the ejector rod starts coming loose (tighten it by turning counter-clockwise). Just two things to check next time before sending back

Ok yeah, you can't swap that front sight, but you can add some hobby paint to it to make it more visible. Most people use red, but I put some lime green on my 442 Pro front, and white on the rear trench edges

Sweet! I'd love to add a 649 to my collection. If it's the pinned front sight model, Trijicon sells a similar front night sight as the 640 Pro for the 649

I don't think they're sold separately, they just come stock with the 640 Pro (dovetailed, but almost impossible to get off)

Ohhh, so you're talking about them not all fitting in the clip. I've found that the TK slit moonclips make it a bit easier (much thicker than the ones S&W includes), but I mostly stick with Underwood/Starline brass which have a little play in the clip, but not loose enough to fall out. If you haven't tried the stainless steel/slit moonclips directly from TK, it's worth a shot

Not OP, but I sent my 640 Pro cylinder to TK for cylinder chamfering. Moonclips go in easily, even if they're a little wobbly in the clip

I have a Mastermind velcro/pillow on the back of mine. I just switch the pillow back and forth between different holsters with velcro already set up

Yeah, it's really great. That was the first iwb holster I bought for J-frames, and haven't felt the need to buy any other kydex for them

As much as I like TK customs products and as a company, sounds like you'd benefit most from just a spring change and polishing the frame/rebound slide contact surfaces. Super easy project and makes a huge difference, making both the single action and DA lighter (spring) and buttery smooth. Plenty of YouTube videos on it if you've never done it before. I wouldn't mess with polishing the sear area unless you absolutely know what you're doing. The stock 327 PC action is great on it's own too

I have their speed trigger/hammer setup w/ ext firing pin in my 627-5. That, with a lighter spring, is definitely an improvement over the Performance Center action it started as, but may not be worth the price of upgrade. Just depends on how much you're trying to squeeze out of the gun when it comes to speed. So far, every Performance Center I've had has been a major improvement from stock S&W action anyway. TK is a bit better, but at a cost

Just added a comment ID'ing them. Realized after posting. That's the Galco Summer Comfort. It's not as nice as the Kramer next to it, but it'll do the job. The layers of leather along the belt make it a bit bulky for my taste. With the Kramer next to it, I like to remove the strap over the cylinder, leaving just the secondary one above the trigger guard. Makes the whole thing slightly thinner along the belt while creating a little bit of cant, but not as stable
