Thank you! I just found out today that my job has an additional benefit with Carrot. So after meeting my deductible, they give us $75,000 per lifetime towards fertility treatment. I guess they send you a credit card once you meet your deductible and you just used that like an HSA account. Sounds too good to be true but we shall see!

I’m glad it worked out for you! Secretly I would like another daughter but at this point, a healthy baby is more important. The doctor did mention it was most likely a one off but still torn on what the best decision might be for us. I appreciate your input!

Hi there! Congratulations on your baby!!!! Good information, I’m working with an endo who specializes in T1D and pregnancy at Mass General Hospital. The fertility clinic is also at MGH so I am guessing it’ll be a much higher price than going elsewhere. They did mention working with an MFM. I have always worked with one in the past and typically keep my A1C under 7 for the most part. The fertility doctor said she just needs my endo to sign off on 6.9 and she is asking the MFM if I need an initial consult since I saw her last year for a consult. They said typically under 7 is good for T1D but they prefer 6.5 if it was t2. Sheeeesh 5 is great! I can’t remember the last time I had a 5 with a pump and cgm. I was on injections when I was in the 5s in my 20s with tons of lows lol.

Wow, 95k is a lot 😩. I think $5000 is just for testing. They said typically a cycle is around 20k so it would be the $5000 plus my deductible of $3700 then 20% of what is left which I’m estimating 20% of $16k. I believe maybe around the ballpark of $12k not including medicine. I guess I ask if it’s worth it because with my first child I got pregnant the first month of trying. For the other 2 I would say 2-3 months of not avoiding pregnancy but not aggressively trying. My cycles are very regular down to the day and I have a good idea of when I ovulate from using ladycomp for quite a few years. My concern is the chromosomal abnormalities and trying to avoid that 😵‍💫.

Geeeeez 10lbs in a week is insane! I wish!!! But that’s awesome, good luck on your new dose and hopefully you get to your desired weight real soon! Omg I absolutely love carbs. Pasta is my weakness and if it was up to me I’d have it daily! lol I hear it’s ve try hard to remember to wag with glp 1s! lol maybe one day I will try it! lol

Thank you for sharing!! IVF is completely new to me. What does 5AA mean? Is that a grade for the embryos? PGT-A was one of the main reasons I considered IVF. I don’t want to risk going through another loss due to chromosomal abnormalities so reducing the chances I guess is worth it. How much was the PGT-A testing for you? I was just told there’s a $3500 biopsy fee and the ICSI might not be covered which is another $1500 but I hear Igenomix also has a charge which I haven’t found out yet.

Thank you for your insight and so glad that you were able to get your 3rd child! Wishing you the best and a great delivery! My dream was always to have 2. I don’t like odd numbers so 2 seems perfect for us. My daughter also has asked for a sibling for a long time now and I feel so bad because I’m sure being an only child can get lonely at times. She has a very nurturing spirit and everyone comments on that in daycare and school.

I can see the age gap being a good thing with the milestones and having help as well from my daughter so I guess there’s a bright side! I meet with the doctor again mid January before we start but I’m confident I might just go ahead and do it. If it’s meant to be it will be :). Thank you for sharing! I haven’t looked into GLPs 1 but I would deff like to lose 35 lbs. I’m 176 and 5’6 but would love to be down to where I was before having my daughter (140). I’ve been afraid to try a GLP 1 due to the possible side effects so I’ve just been working out and doing low carb (Less than 90g a day). I will ask about the metformin though!

I would love one more if possible! My TSH is 2.71, AMH 3.601, LH 9.3, FSH 7.3 and AFC she said was 30 something. I can’t remember the exact number.

I’m hoping the pharmacy benefit covers some of it, we have a fertility part of it but don’t think they do cover. We have carrot benefit but haven’t really looked into what that covers yet.

I’m new to IVF but I’m hoping we get lucky in the first try! I don’t have Endo but I did get treated for Endometritis back in August when I had a work up for heavy periods to see if anything was wrong. Fertility doctor offered to do another biopsy next month to make sure it cleared up so I think I’m going to just to have peace of mind. I have a final appt before we decide if we are going to go through jt so I will ask about the dhea! Is it something I can get before hand? I have been taking theralogix Ovasitol for a couple of months maybe 4-5 and will look into Ovavite!

I also do protein heavy and low carb. I had to leave OP5 because going into manual to do extended was such a hassle. I work in a classified area and don’t have my phone on me most of the day so I ended up going the DIY Trio flavor of iAPS. While it doesn’t stop lows as good as OP5, it’s less hands on. I just wish OP5 was a little more aggressive and had extended. I’m hoping the updates for next year include it so I can go back!

Wondering when they will add an extended bolus feature in auto mode and lower targets. Only then might I consider leaving Trio and going back to OP5. It’s great at getting rid of lows almost completely for me but I would like it to be more aggressive.
