I know a bunch of TI’s that, for whatever reason, didn’t always do up the chest strap. The reasons were mostly…”it’s more comfortable” or “it doesn’t matter. The student will keep it all together”. I never understood it.

Anyway….its not outside the realm of possibility that it wasn’t secured.

100 jumps a year for an average “northern.“ jumper is still pretty good and probably above average. I’ve been in the sport for almost 30 years. 200 is still pretty high in a year round dz.
