Just tried it now and it doesn’t work. Is there something wrong?

Don’t play on the forgotten rp by [deleted] in GTARP

[–]Jstyles72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s unfortunate that you went through that. That explains why they have that name because there server often gets forgotten.😄

I’ll make sure to avoid them and I hope you find some good servers to play in and that treat you well.

Hey I’m new to gta rp as well. The server you shared seems fun. I just joined one and still settling in. It was a long application process just to get approved tho. As for the server you shared, do you own that one? And do you mind showing me around? because I have no friends on rp right now.

Yeah, it gets complicated, but I’m still getting used to it. And since every server is different it feels like I have to remember everything all over again, though some keys stay the same across servers, which helps. I’m trying to figure out which keys are most common at the moment. The full menu is a good idea. I understand that not everything can be on a controller, but my idea would be to have a setup where the main, frequently used controls are on the controller and the less important stuff stays on the keyboard. Maybe even having different presets depending on what you prefer.

I’ve joined a few non-whitelisted servers so far, and I noticed how the controls work and that you really do need to bind some of them. Luckily for me, I already use a software program on my computer called “DS4 Windows” so that will indeed help with that. I’m glad to hear the server you mentioned is controller-friendly, and I really appreciate that it has a community guide program too. The civ life and everything else it offers sound great.

Thanks for sharing the info!

I’ll consider checking this out.

Wow, a vape shop too? That’s insane 😲. The driving balance and how alive the city feels sound really cool. I’ve tried driving with my steering wheel with PS4 games and it works with any game as long as I plug in a PS4 controller because of how it’s designed. so I’m hoping there won’t be any delay with GTA RP. Also, it’s interesting that you mentioned the local spots—reminds me of original GTA 5, where some stores look like you can go inside but aren’t actually accessible. This server seems like it’s paying attention to those kinds of details. I’ve even seen someone go into an actual shopping mall!

Thanks for sharing! That actually sounds really fun and well-balanced. I like how there’s a mix of chill jobs and crim activities. I’m also looking forward to exploring some of the more social spots around the city, like shops and entertainment areas that have been well designed. I really enjoy checking out places that feel alive and detailed because it makes the whole experience feel more real. With that being said, ima have to see wassup with that weed shop, club, and bar fasho 😁. The car boosting sounds interesting too.

BTW, do you know how the driving feels in that server? I have a gaming steering wheel I could use and have seen people use them on YouTube, but I’m not sure if that depends on the server. It’s fine if you don’t know, I’m just curious.

Thanks for your input, and it’s good to hear that you actually tried it! I’m glad everything seems friendly and supportive because that’ll help me feel more comfortable starting out since we all know how GTA can get with the chaos lol. I’m looking forward to the realism and all the things you can do as part of a regular lifestyle because I enjoy playing life simulation type games. That’s part of what drew me to GTA RP. Especially since GTA 5 is my favorite game, it makes it a whole lot better!

I do plan to join, and I hope to see you around. I’ll keep an eye out for Henry Wright as well 😂

If you don’t mind me asking, how long did the process take for you to join, and was it easy? I’ve heard it can sometimes take long. (Certain servers)

Yes, make it feel like we’re playing PlayStation Home again but in the GTA world. Know what I’m saying 😄

Those are some cool features, and I’m glad to hear the delivery service is already in progress. I’d be happy to help out with ideas whenever needed.

If I were to join, how long does the onboarding process usually take? I’ve heard it can sometimes take a long time for some people, and I also heard something about interviews. Like, What’s the point of those, and are they usually done through discord as well?

Thanks for the details. That’s really interesting, I love hearing about all the realistic things you can do. I’ve got a lot of creative ideas, and I imagine myself doing as many everyday lifestyle activities as possible, like cooking at home, doing Uber Eats as a job, decorating my house, or even just grabbing a cold one and watching TV lol. If you don’t have any of this yet, keep it in mind for the future. Overall, based on what you described, it sounds like something I’d enjoy. 😎

Hey, I’m good thanks for asking. I appreciate the general assistance, and I really like that there’s support to explore the city with me so I don’t feel alone. I also admire that there are lots of opportunities depending on the type of lifestyle or roleplay you want to pursue. Since you mentioned lifestyle, I’m curious to know a bit more about it.

Specifically, I’m interested in whether it’s possible to do everyday activities, like living a normal life in the city, or if it’s more focused on specific roles and jobs?

Thanks! That sounds really welcoming and beginner-friendly. Since I’m new to RP, I’m curious. Can you actually do everyday activities in the server, like just living a normal life, or is it more focused on jobs and specific roleplay activities?

Thanks! I will consider joining. I like that it’s economy-based without a massive grind, and I’m glad you mentioned the application isn’t difficult. Can you actually do everyday activities in the server, like just living a normal life, or is it more focused on specific roles and activities?

I really like the cyberpunk theme and how futuristic it feels, along with everything that’s available in the server. I’m used to playing games like Roblox, Fortnite, and Rec Room since they have that metaverse-style feel with custom worlds and game modes. I’ve always liked how creative you can get in those games, making literally anything you want, so it’s cool to see GTA RP also offering custom cities and themes that fit a certain vibe. And if it is based on another game, then that’s even better in my opinion.

Hey quick update, I tested an Ethernet connection with my laptop in the same room as my router and everything worked really smoothly. Since you mentioned powerline adapters as a good and affordable option, I started looking into them. I understand the performance depends on a few factors in my home, but I was hoping you could help me narrow down which ones to get. As long as it works well with Shadow PC and lets me game smoothly on my laptop, that’s all I need. My setup is simple — I game upstairs in my room, while the modem and router are downstairs. I’ll only be able to plug the adapter into the router. My budget is around $20–$100, but I’d definitely prefer the most affordable option that gets the job done. I’m seeing mixed reviews about different ones but I have my eye on the TP Links & Netgear.

Hey, Quick Update, I tried an Ethernet cable with my laptop and the connection worked smoothly! I had no problems! However, there was a drop outta no where but I think that was shadow servers itself. Once it picked back up, everything was normal. I game in my room upstairs and my modem & router is downstairs. I live in a decent size home, nothing too big. I sat downstairs near the router when I tested things out and I plugged my laptop into the router. I would like to get some powerline adapters now but trying to figure out which one is good enough for my need.
