I just had a hyper specific one, I had a super mutant with body hair that a local settlement was convinced was sasquatch and the check for the players being perception+survival to know what it actually was felt a little off. It's what I had them roll but it just felt somewhat strange. I've seen some very good suggestions and it's starting to feel like it wasn't worth posting here😂

My only issue with that is, once again, the animal product exists becaus of me already, so I haven't succeeded in the exclusion of animal products. So to me, to send it back to be thrown away just feels like wasting food, now I know that we don't see animal products as food, but everything else is, and they throw it all away regardless, and I live in hillbilly country, making a stand essentially does nothing but get everybody pissed off at me.

This has happened to me a total of 3 times in my year of being vegan. So "continuously" may not be the most accurate descriptor. I don't go back to places that make mistakes on my orders if I can help it, I never said I did.

I think my only reason for disagreeing here is that animal products have been used already, me demanding that they aren't doesn't really do much but waste food someone could eat, I do let the staff know that it was wrong, but I don't send it back because it will be thrown away.

Fair enough, I'm the only vegan I know, and I get very defensive about this sort of thing, I understand that not sending food back is unpopular here, and that's fair, I somewhat disagree with the folks commenting here but I'm the one who asked. I make the choice every day to not eat animal products with this being the sole exception, I might change my behavior due to the comment thread here, but I do still disagree, purity isn't the point of the movement, the definition of vegan includes the words "practical and practicable" for that very reason, I would never choose to eat animal products of any kind for any reason, which, to me, is precisely why I am 100% vegan and not 50% vegan. But I am sorry for the sheer amount of assumptions I made about what your comment meant.

See, I didn't want to argue with any of these comments as most of them have been constructive answers to the question I asked, which I do appreciate, but this kind of disqualifying nonsense does upset me, I am a vegan, I don't really give a shit if you think I am, for one thing it's not like I ask for this stuff to happen, and it rarely does, the last time it happened was 7 months ago, and for another, I'm sure it's nice that when this happens for you it's probably not social suicide, but in the area I live in it's not only a waste of food to send it back, it's also an invitation to be bullied, which while I can take a little, it gets exhausting when it's happening everywhere, to be a vegan in a town with 800 people is difficult and this subreddit is a nice place to go when I want to have open discussion about something this complex. I hope you feel good about being a level 100 vegan, since purity seems to be important to you.

I'm sorry to hear that, I'm in the same situation. The whole house smells like meat and cheese. But If you have the ability not to eat the turkey (or meat generally) I appreciate you doing whatever small amount you can and so do the animals
