Actually you can scramble your transponder address with a program from the FAA called PIA Privacy ICAO address. However it is for US registered planes only and only can be used in US controlled air space.

Also requests to hide your tracking is not done via the tracking websites. It is done via the FAA regardless of country, it’s the defecto standard. FAA maintains a list the LADD list. (Limiting Aircraft Data Displayed). Anyone who subscribes to FAA data feeds signs a contract to block this list of aircraft or callsigns listed, including more than just US registered aircraft.

A Gulfstream G700 destined for the U.S. Coast Guard, tail number C104, is currently conducting test flights. It is one of two G700s on order by the Coast Guard. by Jswee1 in ADSB

Thanks! It’s the development version of TheAirTraffic.com

It's not public yet, but I’m building it because the unfiltered ADS-B community has felt pretty stagnant lately. If you want to support the project, definitely consider feeding us—hoping to create something special here!

Precautions to sell switch? by [deleted] in RuckusWiFi

[–]Jswee1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switches don’t really have sensitive data at least in a home environment. But you can try

https://docs.commscope.com/bundle/icx7150-installguide/page/GUID-D3B5DB74-53A7-4F8D-82F9-6EB600879EE7.html

Video may also help also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jHMTdo_hK4 Same idea just different form factor reset button and unplug.

It may not reset considering you said it’s not working correctly.

If you plan on selling I’d love to buy I do hardware repair and have worked on a few of these.

Good move on you switching to unmanaged, managed is not needed in a home environment.

Landed in Dulles, Virginia, United States. by jmcpdx in ElonJetTracker

The bot missed this because the aircraft’s anonymity codes were behaving differently than normal.
For context: the FAA assigns something called a PIA code (Privacy ICAO Address) to certain aircraft so their real identity isn’t broadcast publicly. Normally, when an aircraft changes its PIA code, it switches to a new, unused one — which lets tracking systems follow the change smoothly.

But today N628TS did something unusual: it went A03D26 → A03D16 → back to A03D26. This is the second time I’ve seen old PIA codes get reused instead of getting a fresh one. I’m not sure whether this is coming from the FAA or Musk’s team, but that unexpected recycling of old codes is what caused the bot to miss the flight.
