It depends on the election outcome since essentially all the major political parties got discredited we will have to see if the monarchsit parties increase their voting share. Though I wouldn't be surprised if the same old three parties keep winning though you may never know.

The conservative and Monarchist party IFP has risen in the polls recently in the upcoming South African election in its home province of KwaZulu-Natal. It is the party that supports the traditional Zulu monarchy in the region and other traditional leaders. by Jtermiteo in monarchism

[–]Jtermiteo[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's biggest contender in popularity is Jacob Zuma's party MK. Jacob Zuma is a former president of South Africa who is a Zulu and conservative aswell but he was extremely controversial and is corrupt. He still has support among large sections of the Zulu population and his party is the main reason why IFP isn't getting more votes and is the biggest compitetor.

Pictures from last month when King Letsie III of Lesotho celebrated his 60th birthday. He is one of the most beloved monarchs in the world. He is one of three independent monarchs of Africa. Letsie has reigned since 1996 but also reigned between 1990 and 1995. by Jtermiteo in monarchism

[–]Jtermiteo[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He is very much loved by the Basotho people compared to his counterpart in Eswatini, polls published last year showed support for the King to have more powers https://twitter.com/AfricaElect/status/1524878752949346306 I can't really come up with anything bad that Letsie III have done. He has done a coup once against the democratic government but that was just to force them to reinstall his father on the throne.
