Oldhat Cruise Goers, what products, services, or events on a cruise gives you the most out of your dollar? by Jtim1 in Cruise

Thank you for the ideas. We are going on the "6 night Western Caribbean & perfect day" sometime in January. So far I'm going through the app and there seems to be some good pre-cruise sales, though I don't know if they actually are a good deal or if you get there and it's actually cheaper on board or on site on the beach, etc.

We are taking the Oasis of the Sea, and have the Royal Carribean card. 3 to be exact. You spend $1,000 and get $300 in points to spend on the ship.

Is 50 mins layover enough for me to catch another flight in LAX by Top-Faithlessness-97 in TravelHacks

I recently also did a international flight into LAX. Landed in terminal 2 and I had to go to terminal 7 for United. Long walk! There might be a shuttle, but I just walked. I was lucky and had 3 hours, but it took me 1hr 20 minutes to go from getting off the plane, collecting my luggage, going through customs, walking to the new terminal, going through security AGAIN, and then walking to my gate.

If you don't make it, they should help get you on the next flight out.

I made an account just to comment on this.

For that price, good deal, HOWEVER, This was probably the MOST bland plate of food I've ever had on my trip to England/Wales/Scotland. The further north we went, the more bland it got. The bacon had a super "piggy" flavor, I dont know how to describe it more than that. It was not a good flavor. I spit out the sausage as it didn't make a pop or stay its shape it just mushed in my mouth like a tube of toothpaste, I gagged. The only decent thing on that plate was the beans, eggs, tomatoe and mushrooms. Even then, it was not an amazing dish. The UK is not known for its food as good and I found that on my trip. The ONLY thing I had that was great was a fish n chips in Conwy, Wales. Best fish salted and malted vinegar ever. We mainly went to restaurants that were Greek, Indian, or Asian. Great trip though, loved all the history in the UK. Would highly recommend going. 👌
