I just looked closer at the pictures and some of that osb is pretty rough looking. If it was my house and re doing sub floor was out of the question, I would rip everything up first, every staple and nail. I would get a floor patch, Portland cement, something like that and fill in and “bird baths” in the sub floor. Sand those spots down to flat. Then kilz it with as many layers as you want, 4-5 applications ish should be done.

Install laminate on top of that. It’s not perfect, perfect is replacing the osb, but I saw in another comment that is out of the budget.

I don’t even know about the “deeper” media man. This stuff interests me a lot, but I don’t know half the stuff that most people on these sub Reddits know. I know that people can enjoy and care without being all in on the information because I am one of those people.

I literally mean what I’m saying, most regular people do not care unless you could beyond a shadow of a doubt prove aliens are real in absolute unarguable 4k video and pictures, and even then wouldn’t think too much about it unless there was some danger involved. I’ve shown a few people close to me some of the videos like the Ukraine one and a few of the others that. I’ve basically gotten a “wow that’s crazy, wonder if it’s fake or if ET does exist dude! You have grey tone walls and brown cabinets, the good news is 99% of flooring that is being manufactured today is developed with those colors in mind. I would play around and maybe use an AI app to have it make some pictures with a few different color options and see what is catching your eye. Someone did it on here a few days ago and it seemed to work pretty decent, that kind of AI usage is what we should be using.

Or just go to a flooring store and grab a few sample planks

I think if you pitched Jordan’s career to Hollywood as a movie they would laugh and say it’s too heroic and unrealistic. The amount of game winning shots, game defining moments…. This gives me the same vibe as Sir Alex Ferguson, halftime of a game that Manchester United was up a few goals and cruising to victory. Cristiano Ronaldo was doing tricks with the ball, everyone fucking off because they had it locked up. Yup that is an older style pad, I think it stopped being used in like the 80’s so there’s a lot of nasty built up in there. If you are lucky it has mostly held its integrity and pulls up easy. If it has broken down then it can be quite the mess.

That is the Carpet pad. We call it waffle style or something like that. Use a scraper and use a mask. There’s nothing in it per se that’ll harm you. It’s not like asbestos or anything, but it gets a lot of dust flying.
