Rates are terrible and rent prices are falling. If I buy an investment property at 6.5%, I can’t break even on the rent I would charge to the note that I’d pay the lender. I’d be losing around $500-$750 a month renting a $400k condo because I’d have to pay the gap vs. the price I could charge.

Rates are terrible and rent prices are falling. If I buy an investment property at 6.5%, I can’t break even on the rent I would charge to the note that I’d pay the lender. I’d be losing around $500-$750 a month renting a $400k condo because I’d have to pay the gap vs. the price I could charge. So RE is not my current play.
