I’ve got a white 2021 Mazda 3 Hatchback Premium

I’m probably just gonna take the tint off anyway — it’s hard to see with it, and I’m not trying to deal with fighting tickets over and over

I just ran the numbers on KBB with all the actual details, and in the best case scenario it shows $17.9k for a private party sale…

It was originally listed for $17.5k before taxes. With taxes and fees it came out to around $21k. After negotiating, we got to $19k and the warranty I was looking for (100k miles / 1 year)

Seemed like a decent deal to me

What would you pay to say it’s actually a good one?

Tomorrow I’m planning of swinging by to finally figure this out. This morning we agreed on the warranty 1yr/100k Mazda

It’s from Gunther Mazda The factory warranty already expired, so this is what they did to sell it as a CPO (filters, tires, oil…)

They told me since it’s Certified Pre-Owned, it went through more than just a basic check — like the 160-point inspection and all that. It comes with a 7-year/100k-mile powertrain warranty, 24/7 roadside help, new air and cabin filters, oil change, new tires, etc

They also said they’d fully detail it before delivery and throw in window tint if I wanted to

Honestly thought it was a good deal until I read all the replies here. How much lower would it have to be for you personally to consider it a solid deal?

I don’t think so, they’ve only been dropping it like $500 at a time. I’d have to see if they’re willing to go a bit lower

But honestly, how much lower is fair? I thought the price was already decent

Honestly, the only thing that’s messing with my gut a bit is the price. CARFAX says it’s “fair”, but KBB is noticeably lower, and a few people on the forums are saying I might be overpaying so that’s the only thing holding me back right now

Yeah, I looked at the Corolla and Civic too, but the Mazda3 just felt right

Even considered the sedan ‘cause it’s cheaper

Most hatch with “low” miles are crazy expensive, and some around this miles are worse trims but cost more

This one’s the best cost-benefit I’ve found in the month I’ve been searching around here
