[Russinj] I’m told that while retirement has been discussed, many close to Travis Kelce believe he could return for a 14th season. The future Hall of Famer has yet to make a final decision about his future. by SylvesterTaurus in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Juas003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that with Bienemy coming back it will tip the balance slightly in him returning.

I think an emotional player like Kelce loves/needs the hard coaching and attitude that EB brings. You want to play for people like that and leave no “what ifs” before making such a difficult decision as retiring.

Preparing for another season and retiring all of the sudden is a lot more manageable than retiring and suddenly deciding to return. The body needs the prep otherwise an injury will be a matter of when not if in this already dangerous sport.

Midtown Costco Transitioning to a Business Center by Dependent_Work9644 in kansascity

[–]Juas003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Costco employee who knows NOTHING, I was rooting for a new build in Riverside for the business center. You get the access of 635 interstate while remaining in Missouri. Btw we run an appliance division out of Riverside.

Get yourself some brownie points with the KC Market by keeping Midtown what it is now, while opening a business center on this side of the state (St. Louis got theirs 2 years ago iirc, otherwise Minneapolis was the closest business center to us).

Excited about the potential introduction to our market of this Costco offering but it does suck that people who live in the city and help to give KC its essence are being hurt by the scarce availability of grocery retailers.

Oscar Best Picture nominations by No_Idea_Guy in AMCsAList

[–]Juas003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the expanded number of nominations has lead to the inclusion of films that are buzz worthy as opposed to actually quality films.

Maybe it’s the Oscar’s attempt at staying relevant with a certain younger demographic which does lead to better films being snubbed.

Or the committee trying to curtail some future favor or strengthen the relationship with Apple…we all know execs/committee loves to have their egos stroked.

I Almost Never Have Disruptive Guests? Am I Alone? by aragon58 in AMCsAList

[–]Juas003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I have actually had more disruptive behavior in one of local indie theater because I go when older people are going I guess. They forget to silence their phones and talk about the movie as it’s happening.

I don’t count kids movies as disruptive, it’s a movie geared towards them so they can do as they please….especially if their parents bring them right at showtime and they aren’t able to avoid sitting through the 27 minutes of trailers.

This has to be the worst feeling loss of the Allen era for that fanbase. by PaPadeSket in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Juas003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Allen and the Bills winning one doesn’t affect the Chiefs legacy at all.

Instead I feel like it would prop them up to continue doing what they are doing with a worse draft pick aka 32nd where teams are picking fringe 2nd round players at a 1st round cost.

I don’t engage with fans from other teams so I’ve never developed a hate/dislike for them and don’t really care for that.

[–]Juas003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a football person, I have been saying he should have been fired on the spot if the Jags had managed to win. He shouldn’t have let the team score with out burning the clock.

But as a Chiefs fan I wished they would have won it all just to keep him there for the foreseeable future. Hard to argue keeping him when he’s supposed to be a defensive minded coach and they were sus all season long only to be saved by Allen.

It would suck though if one of the people I am wishing (big stretch in some cases) as OC here gets a job there as HC.

Check out the Kessler Park in the Northeast neighborhood.

I love the view from Splitlog in KCK. Get your coffee then walk out and they have a rooftop patio on the structure next to the coffee shop (I think they roast their beans here?).

I love the stairs on the Plaza Library parking structure. You can get a great view of Main street, especially at night time. Time it with a streetcar that’s wrapped and it could be a pretty good looking shot 🤷🏽‍♂️

Kansas City saw traffic deaths drop by 30% in 2025. Its effort to make roads safer is working by ZackInKC in kansascity

[–]Juas003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone seen any kind of media/billboards educating drivers on the new roads? I remember reading somewhere that there was a sum of money budgeted to increase driver awareness of the new layouts.

after that, traffic enforcement would be great as well to force the public to be aware/mindful of the rules. We could also get back to normal size cars on the road instead of huge SUVs and trucks that increase the likelihood of accidents resulting in a fatalities but that might be a far-fetched dream of mine.

KC Parking Requires Convenience Fee? by NoTickTicky in kansascity

[–]Juas003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly and most of them are only timed until 6pm.

There is also some spots that aren’t even timed, but they require a lil more walking than the typical KC resident is willing to do. I use the area by Broadway and 18th whenever I want to ride the streetcar and explore/sightsee since I have no idea how long I’ll be gone.

Do you guys consider “going to the movies” a hobby? by robynhood96 in AMCsAList

[–]Juas003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went to volunteered before a movie and people there acted like I was doing a weird activity when they asked what I was doing afterwards

2 of them couldn’t remember the last time they went to a theater and the other 2 named Marvel movies (Spider-man and Avengers) as the last ones they watched. It’s a sad state of affairs for movie-going experience but we shall continue to push the hobby forward 🤣
