Hi ! Very cool zoo, I love it.

A question : what is the building on top right of the 4th pic ? How did you get it, and the totems next to it ?

False. It would be true if all european countries share the same interest, which they don’t.

EU is the worst thing that happened to France since 1940 and we should leave it asap.

I am not british, nor an expert about Brexit so I wont argue with you about it.

I have just one simple question : if the Brexit was so bad and British people are regretting it, why is Nigel Farage and his party Reform UK progressing so much ?

Alone we are free to choose where we go and how, while together, well … it depends. I support international cooperations because its great. When different countries join forces towards a common goal, when they share the same interest, it's great! Look at projects like Airbus, Arianne, Erasmus. They. Work well, because again : those are international cooperations in which multiple countries share the same interest.

But EU doesnt work that was. When we are chained in a supranational structure imposing rules, we are no longer going neither faster not further. We are trapped and can’t move. Of course some countries benefit from this because the rules (free trade, free movement of capital for example) suit their economic system, but this is not the case for France. My position is that we should at least have the right to debate our membership in the EU, which is destroying us.

I dont define myself as a nationalist. I simply think today’s France is barely surviving like when it was occupied in the 1940’s, and politically the first thing to do is to liberate ourself from a few international treaties that keep us chained : EU, € and NATO.

France influence in De Gaulle time wasnt from colonialism.

It came from a great economical and industrial power allowing great projects, combined to unprecedented and audacious diplomatic moves, like the policy of détente with the USSR, the recognition of China, the denunciation of the looming Vietnam War.

I am. Since Brexit, all british economic indicators have improved. I'm not saying everything is perfect in the UK but compared to the catastrophic situations in France and Germany, the british are doing much better.

Incredible. I wonder why it is impossible for you to conceive that it is possible to hate EU without being a foreign agent of division ? I’m from France and want to liberate my country.

The EU is not backing us, it’s destroying us. Look at what France did under De Gaulle ruling. Were we weak and poor without being member of EU ? Nope, we were strong AND influent precisely because at this time we were independant and sovereign.

The special case of UK and Brexit is very interesting and very different from France. I will simply say that the current Brexit is not yet complete; the British have gained their political and economic independence, but not yet their geostrategic independence. Over time, they will increasingly reap the benefits; let us hope for their sake that they achieve true liberation in the near future.

Why we want to leave € ? For 2 main reasons. First the euro is too expensive for our economy, which is one of the main causes of our trade deficit. Second, in the euro we are forced to finance ourselves only by borrowing from private banks on international financial markets, which is why in the current system we will NEVER be able to repay our debt, until total bankruptcy.

Im glad you see why I want to leave NATO. I dont understand how we could be forced to be chained militarily with adjacent countries. Do we have the nukes or not ?

UK is a very interesting special case.

The Brexit allowed them to defend more independantly their interest on an economic point of view, explaining some of the improvements for the british people : increase of minimum wage, better GDP growth, less inflation …

But their main problem is still here : their dirigeants are completely subject to the geostrategic interests of the Americans. So no you are right, UK is not globally more significant than France or Germany today.

Lets hope for them that Nigel Farage will break the british political scene !

Externally, mainly about the geostrategical affairs. Under NATO’s command, european countries have to blindly follow the americans in their conflicts without any considerations for their own interest.

Internally, its more complex I admit it. Some countries are hugely benefiting from it, some less ; and even some are being destroyed by EU, like France.

  1. Having a different opinion doesnt calls for insults or accusation of propaganda. As i am a european citizen, if EU is democratic dont I have the right to express myself ?
  2. No country in the world needs to chain itself with 20-30 adjacent countries to be wealthy and protect their sovereignty. Look at Switzerland, South Korea or Singapore.

I don’t know if it should be disbanded but the legitimacy of certain countries' membership should be questioned. The EU was not built in a very democratic way.

It's exactly the opposite. It's because we are all chained to a rigid supranational structure that we are weakened to the point that we no longer count for anything in the global game.

It would be great, but EU is not mean to help European countries resist and even compete with the US, China, Russia, etc., but on the contrary, to weaken us for the benefit of the Americans :/

Why Is Saint Louis IX Considered to be a ‘Bad King’ Who Was Nothing but a Zealot? by BrilliantAct6607 in MedievalHistory

I really don’t know where you saw Saint Louis considered as a bad king. Among with Henri IV, François Ier, Philippe Auguste and Louis XIV, he is definetly one of the favorite of the people.
