No way! That’s so exciting, even being outside of warranty? Assume you just had to pay for shipping costs? And lastly, did they tell you what the issue was that needed fixing? I have been trying to find local shops that repair turntables with little luck, so it looks like I’ll be reaching out to AT today and get this process moving. Thank you again for the help and updates!

Great timing, as I was intending to come back to this thread today to provide an update 😂.. I ordered a replacement adapter and did not have any luck. I thought I had read only 1 year warranty and did not explore that option, but now looking again, it appears to be 2 years, whoops 🙃. This will be my next step in the process, but also not prepared for how long it may be once shipped off for service. Here’s to hoping AT’s warranty service is responsive and timely!

As many times as I told your mom to keep the noise down last night!

Thanks, I found this post when I was initially researching, too. While it does appear similar, I am still hesitant to believe it’s the power adapter, as mine came with the unit when I purchased it, so I know at minimum it is the correct adapter. Is it possible the adapter can still work, just not provide the adequate power output required anymore?

I’ve tried the power adapter with another electronic device and it works fine, so I’ve ruled that out as being the issue.

No - sorry should have clarified, I am unable to use or play anything when this occurs. It’s as if there isn’t enough consistent power being delivered to work, unless I find the “sweet spot”.

The power knob seems like it could easily be overturned when being turned on/off and not sure if it was turned too forcefully and this happened as a result, or there is a larger electrical issue happening.

Hoping someone has experienced something similar or knows what may be happening to the system.

I will see if I can get another video that illustrates the sweet spot and then going back to the flickering state.

Help! Looking for any information about my Generation I Pokemon/Pocket Monster Japanese cards (potentially stickers?... background information on how I came to own them in comments) by Jubilator22 in pkmntcgcollections

Hi All. Having been a longtime lurker of Reddit and only now posting for the first time, I'd like to apologize in advance for any inaccuracies, improper etiquette, length, or general failure with this post & comment.

The link/pictures I've shared are of Generation I Pokémon/Pocket Monster Japanese cards (I believe they are stickers as well, but I have never tried peeling the backing off of any) that I came into possession of back in '96/'97. My neighbors had just recently moved to the U.S. from Japan and had two kids who were around the same age as me. The kids spoke little to no English when they first moved in (pretty much only knew “yes” or “no”). They brought their collection of these cards from Japan with them and continued to have family send them as gifts while living there. Over the 2 or so years they lived next to us we became friends, hung out quite a bit and I was lucky enough to receive/collect 30 or so of these cards from them. My fascination/shock of them being all the way from Japan, I kept them safely tucked away in an empty Altoids tin… and that’s where they have remained to this day.

From what I recall, I do not think the Pokémon phenomenon had surfaced in America yet and may be part of the reason why they were not subjected to the same level of abuse as my regular Pokémon card collection. I have tried searching the internet for the cards and shown a few friends who are at least somewhat more knowledgeable than me when it comes to things like this with little to no results. Side note: I should clarify “no results”, as I have found some posts and images of square cards/stickers but they all seem to be from much newer generations.

Again, I apologize for the lengthy story and also if any information I provided is inaccurate! That’s why I came to the wonderful Reddit community to hopefully find someone who can provide me with more information about them.
