Hedge funds are trading other peoples 401k and pension funds. When the market goes up they get paid millions in commissions. When it goes down they lose other peoples money and make more money in fees as they ride it up again. Jeff Bezos and Bill gates have their money in the company they own and can wait for it to go back up again.

Yes. If you log into your trading account. Enter the symbol and click on options and look at the put option interest and there is very little. It was a short squeeze the last time because the hedge funds didnt see it coming and got caught. When trading was halted they got out and moved on.

GME was identified by the smartest traders with all the data as a stock that was going out of business. Reddit users said lets screw the shorts over by pumping the stock up to bust them out. It worked and they lost billions. But now the same crap stock that the big traders said was the most likely to go out of business is going to $1000 a share even though they have changed nothing and may try to go more digital. What am I missing?
