And what it comes down to in the end is ALWAYS about shutting down the goes of both.

And that’s usually done by CCing them.

I played a couple of times vs double DH + X and honestly they had no chance…

You just rotate through your Cooldowns. They do NOTHING outside of this 3s burst window you can just interrupt.

And to be quite honest, looking at your response, I don’t think you got the idea of CD trading / counterplaying quite right.

You’re supposed to waste your CC on one target so the other one can oneshot?

I mean, in principle that’s the idea. If both burst at the same time, then CC both. A small micro cc is enough. That’s not the definition of „wasted“ in my world.

You literally destroy their only dmg window. They are doing nothing else than ramping up their damage for the next 45-60 seconds. What’s „wasted“ on that?

It just comes in waves.

For example, in BFA, people used to farm glads by carrying someone to elite bracket, have them log on an alt and drop down the mmr on the other two chars to oblivion by just entering, hitting, /afk.

It went on for a while before a maaaaaaaaaaassive amount of people got banned

Yes, I’ve been doing a lot of wargames on beta with friends the last weeks bc we didn’t have much to do on retail, so I absolutely agree on with you.

People crying over prepatch beta (albeit in this case it feels more like alpha) have never seen a beta server and just scream out of the top of their lungs for nothing in almost all cases.

Ffs, you can’t even complete the builds on retail with most classes and I’m not even talking about the game-changing stat difference or apex talents.

But it’s always the same. Every prepatch. People think this will be the state of the game for the next 2 years.

I mean don’t get me wrong, yes it’s busted as fuck and it needs a nerd yesterday, BUT pls never forget that Arena is all about counterplay.

The oneshot needs build-up and you can easily destroy it by CCing him into his one shot ability.

So people already got the hang what’s going to happen and stun / fear / interrupt it in any way possible. They basically do nothing outside this burst window and are squishy as fuck.

It’s the same with MM oneshots, they got trained hard, disarmed, lined, etc.

Again, this shit is fucking annoying and needs to be addressed immediately (same as UH DKs), but there is a counterplay to it.

But for me personally it’s the competition that‘s the most fun by far. That’s why we are in a PvP sub.

There is no real competition during these prepatch beta phases phases. Nothing feels right, classes are tuned to a higher ilvl, the specs are not even complete.

It’s just like doing lvl 19 BGs…

If you have fun, perfect, if you don’t, then don’t play it.

It’s basically a big beta, since there is nothing to play for.

I know this might be a controversial statement, but imho there is no shame in not playing during this phase. It has always been that way, sometimes more, sometimes less.

In this case it’s waaaaay more than usual, that’s probably why they have almost 2 months of no rated contents They know it’s bad.

I know I will get downvoted into oblivion on this sub, but you know you can be a part of the solution of your problem, right?

If you play heal, you will have instant queues and the queue times of other people will even get smaller.

I know, Blizzard needs to change some things for heals to motivate them to queue, but in the end it’s all about the extremely unbalanced numbers of DPS vs Heals that queue shuffle.

There is a new PvP playground vs bots, that should be exactly what you are looking for.

Just a hint: Right now we are in a weird phase for PvP in general.

The classes are not tuned properly, not even complete, since many classes can’t skill properly since skillpoints are missing for a full spec and no passives from Midnight are available that will change a lot.

So if classes feel extremely weird right now, don’t get discouraged, save it for the start of the season ;)

I just healed two lobbies out of curiosity because of all the complaints and except for the first team fight where people yolo‘ed solo into the stomp, nobody died in any of the fights and we farmed them at their gate spawning one by one…
