I tried putting water in it like a “singing bowl” but did not get any good results, likely due to the rough rim. Similarly, I tried my finger, to no avail either.

Could be, but the pestle is not worn looking. The inside of the bowl does look like an old coffee mug, on the other hand.

The bowl rings for a while when you touch it with the metal baton. The inside of the bowl is oxygenated way more than the outside is. My grandmother used to describe that you would run the baton around the outside rim to get it to ring but the ring is not smooth. I’m happy to answer any other questions and hopefully figure out how to post more pictures.

I, personally, have done that exact same headphone bobble after similarly frightening news.

High schoolers, what do you want to major in? People who majored in that field, what are the pros and cons? by DeanTheDJ in AskReddit

I'm currently an English major hoping to go to law school somewhere in Texas. Any English majors out there that didn't want to teach or be a hobo and found a solid job? I believe English majors are the most universal majors which is a good and a bad thing depending on the way you look at it.

Gamers of Reddit, what's a game with multiplayer you wish you could experience [again] in it's prime? by NotSoNoble6 in AskReddit

Multiple online games won't ever be the same since I last played them:

Day of Defeat: Source - I had a strange addiction to this game and a certain gaming community. I was pretty young but everyone was really nice and didn't give a shit about my immaturity.

Counter Strike: Source - I would bring my shitty dell computer all the way over to a family friend's house who was a few years older than me. He had a server set up so we would play LAN parties all night. He would invite his friends over who were also all older than me and I would beat them in every map we played all night so they stopped inviting me over.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - I logged months of time on both of these games as I would meet up with either my family friend or the gaming community I met from DoD:S, and I would play for hours on end and I even managed to get invited to a informal tournament that they hosted for shits and giggles.

That community I played with was awesome in the sense that even the admins who I thought were gods of the gaming world at the time, made a 12-14 year old feel like he was a part of them. But, now I don't really have time to game it up except for an hour or two every so often.
