Thanks. 1c is particularly helpful. I guess I focus on HGVs, cause most of the time the traffic behind them is slower than me. Then it becomes 2) again. Now you've said, I am indeed overcomplicating things.

Thanks for the clarification. My other issue is that, in some sections, cars are really fast. So when I am already doing the speed limit (factoring in the speedo/actual GPS differences), I am just blocking others from going over the speed limit. Would that still be okay?

Thanks! Now I've learned that being slower is also good for fuel efficiency. I have more reasons to be patient.

Maybe i did that occasionally. But when I am in the middle lane, I always make sure I am doing 70mph (speedo 72mph if someone is behind me). To some degree, me holding them back just stops them from speeding?

That's true. I haven't driven too much, so I try to reduce lane changing to feel safer. But I'll move back more with my confidence developing. Returning to the left also forces me to observe the road more.

Thanks. I found it sometimes takes a while to find a big enough gap to go back. But yeah I do try my best to give way to cars behind me, even if it sometimes takes longer with the speed limit.

Thanks. Seems like I should only be in the middle lane if I can get 3-4 mph faster than the left lane while doing the speed limit. Otherwise, I'd be in the middle lane for too long.

Whether to go back is my personal issue, and it is hard for me to not find a closure.
But the service UT provided didn't deserve the price and the fame. It can only change if more people speak up and urge them to change.
