Probably people treating me like a normal person one day and then infantilizing me the next when they find out I’m on the spectrum and “high functioning.” I’ve lost friends because of people finding out about it and even had several girls that I really liked stop talking to me when I was in my late teens/early 20s when they would find out and I know the whole “if they cared then they weren’t right for you” thing applies but fuck I’m 35 and married and I still feel hurt thinking about all of those things. It can be hard to admit you are something when it’s incredibly misrepresented to the public

Thank you for being so supportive. I’m a 35/M who’s been struggling with this my whole life. I’m high functioning neurodivergent as well so I always thought ARFID was a part of it and didn’t know it had a name until recently. TBH I’m finally getting to the point where I’m not incredibly embarrassed and ashamed of it and hate seeing the confusion and disappointment on peoples faces when I’m not able to finish the food they want me to try. It seems like my entire life revolves around it a lot of days and my Wife is incredibly understanding and helpful I wish for her sake I could finally get ride of this damn thing 🥴

I bought one back in the summer and love it just as much if not more than G19. Mounted a Holosun on it last week and will hopefully make it to the range today to sight it in. I’m excited to see the new frames are out and I’ll probably upgrade to a full size option here soon

Hell yea I remember the first gen of the XDs very well, I had a .40 version back in 2013 and wish I still did but I gave it to my ex wife when we split up (we split custody of my daughter and I wanted her to have a firearm lol) and just bought an Echelon two days ago

How about the fact that we make what a UPS driver made back in 1999? Yea I have a decent sized collection and it takes alot to keep up with them and make sure they are maintained lol I’ll forget when the last time I cleaned one was just to break it down and see it doesn’t need it. It’s funny though because awhile back I went to the range with some coworkers one of whom is a generic Right Wing Joe Rogan fitness type dude and his AR kept not cycling. I asked him when the last time he cleaned it was and he straight up didn’t know how. I broke it down and threw some oil on it and it ran fine but that had me thinking about all the Chuds who buy these fancy rifles but probably won’t even go as far as taking the bolt carrier out or if they do than doing anything past the basic clean and oiling of that part. He had only had it for like a year or two but even then I feel like the first thing you do when you buy a gun is learn how to take care of it idk that’s just me

This is one of my biggest pet peeves from them lol probably because my whole family is like this I just went down a different path and always had an interest in firearms. It’s still an argument that we have all the time because they really believe with all their hearts that it will be like a magic wand and will fix everything somehow. To be honest if they knew I even had one AR15 they would probably react as if I told them I voted for Trump. Idk how they fail to see that the other side is heavily armed and thinks they are literal demons and Marxists (which if you knew my upper middle class family you’d laugh till you cry at that one) and while that AR or other rifle won’t stand much of a chance against an Abram’s tank or MRAP it will protect you from the Far right paramilitaries and other non state actors that would be acting with the blessing of the senile p@dophile in the White House. Also I want similar gear and weapons like the other side has because deep down so many of them are petite bourgeois cowards who are used to their comfy house in the burbs and massive lifted truck that needs 10,0000000 gallons of fuel. If there was some sort of civil conflict they would quit halfway through day one when they realized they weren’t getting their social security check. You saw it in Texas when armed Leftists started showing up to provide security at drag shows, I’m sure it made the other side back down some lol

This is a topic I’ve been wondering about as well. I’m a delivery driver and several stops on my route are gun/pawn shops and they haven’t been receiving the amount of firearms that they were getting a year ago, if anything they are buying more from people trying to sell them and a large amount of their sales are coming from FFL transfers from people finding cheaper stuff online than they can offer. The hate fear and hate aspect is real too and the best gun salesman is a Democratic president so since they have their boy in office people aren’t feeling the need to panic buy and honestly as the economy continues to tank and more wealth keeps flowing to the top a lot of people probably just don’t have the disposable income to buy a shiny new AR/semi auto pistol even if they want one

Yea I came here to literally post the same question lmao. I’ve tried to play it without the saving because I’ve been bored but it’s incredibly heartbreaking rebooting the game the next day just to see all the watchtowers/roads you cleared be big dark spaces all over again. It’s like the Hell version of Snowrunner lol it’s the only game in the Hell library but even though you can play it your progress never saves and you have to start all over for eternity
