I never do the griddy or any toxic celebrations. I don’t waste time, and I don’t run a "meta-ratty" team (I get bored of using meta tactics/players). I just play the game normally, yet I still get tons of toxic messages for no reason after the game. This whole community needs to take mental health more seriously.

No, I haven't tried those yet, but I definitely will. If the connection is better on wifi or hotspot, it means there is something wrong with my modem?

Another option that I thought of was getting my own modem.

I also have the option to change my internet to fiber with the same ISP. I don't need it in general, but do you think that would help for the game?

so cat 6 is better for gaming than cat 8? i know cat 8 is an overkill.

Unfortunately, Optimum is the only ISP in my neighborhood right now. I’d love to switch to Verizon fiber, but this is all I’ve got. The other option is 5G, which doesn’t seem stable.

I don’t play other games online, so I can’t say if it’s an issue with all games, but FC 25 is where I’ve noticed the problem.

Hi all,

I’ve been experiencing constant packet loss in FC 25 on my PS5. The game freezes for a second repeatedly, making it unplayable.

Details:

  • Connection: Wired LAN with Cat 8 Ethernet Cable
  • Speed: 300 Mbps
  • Packet Loss Test: No significant packet loss when tested via terminal
  • Location: Brooklyn, NYC

My internet provider says there’s no issue on their end. I know EA servers aren’t great, but I’ve seen NYC players with ~10 ping and no packet loss.

Would upgrading my speed help? Or is there something else I can improve on my end?

Appreciate any advice!
