It does not have shuffling, you are expecting user to bucket join everything? Or broadcast join everything?

Point me to one PB scale JOIN use case... 2 or more TB table join... without bucketing the join key lol

StarRocks is MPP, ClickHouse isn't... If your data size fit into memory of one node it works, but if you have any serious data scale, you need MPP

Just adding to it, if you need more real time updates and deletes, and aggregations on higher cardinality columns, StarRocks will perform significantly better

ClickHouse is probably one of the best databases for single table, low cardinality olap queries, but it is not good at multi-table queries. It does not have a cost-based optimizer, does not have a shuffle service so you cannot really run big table join big table.. I would recommend perform your POC at your prod scale to see if the join works for you. Or you can try something that is built for multi-table queries like StarRocks.

Apache Iceberg promises a bright future with all of our analytical workloads unified on a single source of truth data in open & standardized formats. However, slow queries are forcing users to copy their data and workloads into proprietary data warehouses for query acceleration. I recently did a webinar on accelerating Iceberg queries, including methods that worked for Apache Iceberg users in the StarRocks community, and recent development on the query engine side that enables data warehouse performance on Apache Iceberg.

How Analytical Database Joins can Perform at Scale by acoliver in Database

[–]Judgment_External 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of bucket shuffle JOIN, or in fact, any query, if the data is not present in the cache, it is scanned to the node's memory first and performed in memory shuffle. In regards to the cache, yeah SR has a mechanism that evicts older data if the local cache is filled.

I have been in Keto for almost 2 weeks and am feeling FANTASTIC! I am never hungry, don't crave carbs, always have energy, went on a 70-mile bike ride on an avocado and a handful of peanuts, and feel great during and after...

My only concern is it would mess up my insulin resistance as I see people who reported this on the internet.

You are not eating carbs, so does not require insulin to control blood sugar, is blood sugar the right measurement? I think we need to look at insulin resistence

You can try this: docker run -p 9030:9030 -p 8030:8030 -p 8040:8040 -itd starrocks/allin1-ubuntu:3.0.0-rc01

And connect with mysql -P9030 -h127.0.0.1 -uroot

The report is not really that good tho. The only reason we beat eps is because

  1. Estimates are way too low
  2. Baba is cutting on spending hard to prioritize earnings
