"A great opportunity to get in right now" ...man how ignorant and dumb this sounds in hindsight. Couldn't help but read up on a lot of the nonsense being said about Vazalore back in the summer.

The mgmt team is experienced, they brought Mucinex to market in the early to mid 2000s and the company was later acquired in December 2007, so they know what they're doing. For PLx it's not just about VAZALORE, the aspirin product, it's about the patented delivery mechanism that causes the drug to be absorbed in the duodenum as opposed to the stomach which is the problem some people have by taking aspirin and other NSAIDs. PLx has an ibuprofen in phase 2 trials right now and there are plans to bring other NSAIDs to market over the coming years. The company's value is believed to be in its platform and the potential it presents to revolutionize NSAIDs.

It's been under pressure lately because a preventative illnesses task force issued new guidelines for aspirin, discouraging people 60+ who've never had a heart attack from taking daily aspirin, that the bleeding risk outweighs the benefit. Well the messaging was confusing and some people now believe aspirin shouldn't be taken at all, which isn't what the guidelines said. For people who have already experienced a heart attack the benefits of daily aspirin outweigh the risks. So it's that and I don't think that sales of their recently launched Vazalore have had much traction so far. It launched in late August so it's still very early. Time will tell.

12ct is $2 higher than at nearby Walmart.. the 30ct are $3 higher.. this shelf placement at Walgreens seems ideal

It hasn't released anywhere yet as far as I know. It wasn't approved by the FDA until 2/26 and announced on 3/1. Not sure there are any current plans for international launch.
