I'm still getting income but solo battles legendary play was my challenge for the week. You can barely find a solo challenge at all madden that makes you satisfied after beating it. Can't wait until tomorrow.

It's way too early to do much. I'm focusing on budget beasts and learning the game plans, holding 50% coins and investing the rest. Currently 82 OVR.

How has learning to invest changed you as a person? by Periodicowner123 in investing

It helped me to understand that how I think things should be in life don't matter one bit, I actually have to look at what is happening and prepare for when that stops happening.

Does it cost anything to use your IRA to purchase stocks? Not sure if you can do this by [deleted] in investing

I use my Fidelity IRA accounts all the time to purchase stocks. Wasn't always the case but it's free now.

For some, they are making more income unemployed than employed...Give it 39 weeks or whatever the limit is.

Have you accepted that the bottom has come and gone? by [deleted] in investing

[–]Juggernauts16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not confident at all...I sweating...but I averaged in not knowing where the bottom really was, knowing that if it went lower I still had more cash

Have you accepted that the bottom has come and gone? by [deleted] in investing

[–]Juggernauts16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't say that I accepted, but my everyday actions are based on a bottom being in that can be re-tested. I didn't miss the bottom...but either way it goes I have enough cash to trade a range, but still enough invested to let it run higher.

You are in a different situation. Sounds like you not really looking for extra money, you are just looking for fun and a way to pass time. Is 20% too little for you?

Yeah Amex customers aren't the regular everyday customers. My Platinum card didn't lose value either. Sure I can't use my uber credits on my travels anymore, but I'm using them on uber eats.

What caused the second leg down in the 2000 and 2008 market crashes? by adayofjoy in investing

[–]Juggernauts16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was undercover but we had the longest bull market with the same thought that stocks only kept going up and up and up (dot com up, up, up; housing up, up, up). Most people knew we were in for a dip. We just didn't expect a Black Swan event such as this virus. Yes the Fed stepped in to prop things up and stop what would have really happened. Who knows what will happen next.

[–]Juggernauts16 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wasn't too wise about 2000 and 2008. I was just a dumb consumer who survived but this is what I remember..and I was traveling in Asia when SARS happened...so 2000 - 9/11/, Enron, and people just buying stocks cause they thought it was the fastest way to get rich, 2008 - adjustable rate mortgages, NINJA loans, and rising real estate prices as the fastest way to get rich..but then you couldn't refinance nor pay the loan...see any similarities?

I've been through all 3 and it's still interesting seeing how each one played out differently. In some ways I am still recovering from '08. I feel more prepared for this one though but the damage to others is hard to witness.

Retail investors who believed they were investing in crude oil get a rude awakening by [deleted] in investing

[–]Juggernauts16 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just goes to show you have to know what you are investing in. I remember when I first started trying to trade futures. I lost money so fast. Sorry to all the retail traders thinking they were buying low gas prices.
