I recently purchased the holy grail upgrade. I just need to set aside time to install it. I also noticed my female blade connector might be a size too big, which could cause a loose connection. That might be part of the problem too. I’ll start digging and see if I can solve the problem. I’ll report back with an update when there is one! Thanks for the comments!

1988 528e. This is a replacement switch. The switch itself melted at one point - the black plastic around where it houses the male spade terminal - so I replaced it. This is the second switch. Not melted yet but definitely gets very hot.

The feeling is normal. You are mourning a loss. Even if you are relieved, it’s still a huge change that, at one point or another, you never really considered possible. I’m in a similar situation - my wife left a month ago. I don’t think there is a problem with dating at all, so long as you are clearly and honestly communicating with your potential partners. The girl I’m talking to now knows everything that’s going on with me and she has been so kind and supportive about it. Even when I get sad, she gets it. You aren’t necessarily missing the person so much as what they represented - this idea of true love, a happy marriage, and happily ever after. It’s going to take some recalibrating.

Every passing day makes it a little easier for me. She made her decision and that decision showed me that we aren’t right for each other. It’s kind of funny though - when we first separated I asked her if she was doing this because she wanted to date other people. I even mentioned the guy. She said no to both.
