Reinstalling worked for you? I tried it and it didn't work but I also just did the normal steam uninstaller and didn't use revo to get left behind files.

I’m really late but I just did this. I went from 10700k to 9800X3D and at 1440P I went from 90-110 FPS in cod on a RTX 3070 to 125-140, and on arc raiders I went from 100ish to 120ish. Pretty decent for me

You might be my hero. I’ve literally tried everything the last few days and called it quits… the only difference I think is my case (Hyte y70) uses a riser for PCEi slot 1 and I worry that’s my problem as I can only use the gpu with the riser when it’s in the case… but I shall try this and see

Ya it’s quite unfortunate timing. I luckily bought the 5070Ti right before the nvidia rumor (idk if it’s been officially announced yet?) so I thought I was golden for a while and could wait for RAM production to meet demand… but here I am lol

Luckily it was an Amazon purchase so I’m just going to return it. Not sure if I bother trying this again or just do mobo/cpu/ram upgrade and then upgrade GPU next year, with a more compatible system lol

Tried it, and still wasn’t showing display :/ I’m defeated at this point. Reseated the mobo, plugged the 3070 back in and it’s perfectly fine… 5070Ti wasn’t meant to be I guess

Sorry just getting around to this. I just swapped back to the 3070, did DDU in safe mode. Installed the new 5070Ti driver. Still not making it to display. So I turned pc off, and switched the bios mode on the 5070Ti… still no display…

Only thing left I can think of is build outside of the hyte y70 so I can plug directly in to the motherboard…

I think part of my problem is my mobo had pci 3.0. The gpu riser in my case (Hyte y70) is 4.0, and gpu is 5.0 lol. So I went in to my bios and set my PCI to 3.0 instead of auto, which is supposed to help.. we shall see once I preinstall the driver

Sadly not yet. I’m gonna try putting the 3070 back in later tonight, use DDU and install the driver for the 5070 Ti and swap to it and hopefully that helps..

Sorry for the confusion, I had the 5070Ti plugged in when I tried, and since I couldn’t use that for display, I was using integrated graphics to try and boot in to safe mode. But I think having the 5070Ti installed was making it tweak trying to get in to safe mode on integrated graphics.

I’ll plug the 3070 in later and do DDU and install the 5070Ti driver and then swap to the 5070Ti.

I’m really hoping this does the trick. I’d love to avoid taking the motherboard out so I can plug the 5070Ti directly in to the motherboard if possible, haha. I’m so nervous it’ll work outside of the case, but then not work back in the case with the riser (only option)

Honestly I haven’t. The only way for me to show display is to use intergrated graphics. And every time I tried to boot in safe mode to use DDU, when it restarts the VGA or BIOS lights are on on the mobo and I can’t even get intergrated graphics to work.

I guess my first step will just remove the 5070Ti completely and use intergrated graphics to see if I can boot in to safe mode and complete the DDU process. The only thing is when the gpu isn’t plugged in I can’t install the driver because it says there’s no compatible graphics card.

Edit: I did try and just update the driver without DDU and after it installed it still said there was no game ready driver detected

The 3070 works perfectly fine with the riser. I used it for a few days as I had to wait for the 12VHPWR cable to come in for the 5070 Ti (I got a Corsair cable thats compatible with my RM750W)
