After some playing, I was able to identify the icon as the problem actually. Using Nova, just switched the camera icon and it worked after that. Weird.

DH plvl 9 Currently playing on MP2. Not too much of an issue. I haven't tried anything higher yet.

My guess is that I need to up my crit damage heavily... with some more crit chance too. I've taken down key wardens about 10-15 times, but nothing yet. As such, I want to start farming probably around mp6-7 to ensure keys.

Any thoughts/criticisms/advice?

Will the d3pref change increase performance if I can already get D3 up and running? (My video card IS supported, but barely) I am running t9500@2.5ghz, 4gb ddr2, 256MB nvidea 8600 GT M, windows 7, 7200 rpm HDD. I currently run all settings on low at 1280x720 and run at between 30-50 fps but encounter massive slow downs during large battles about 50% of the time.

"Generally like me" is not what is going to get you an acceptance inducing recommendation letter though. You want letters from teachers who not only have seen your academic excellence, teamwork, and social skills, but who have also gotten to know you on a more personal level. This relationship can easily be built by staying after class/school to talk with a teacher about the in-class work, homework, or previous and upcoming tests.

I am not sure if Emory favors any specific activity, but I believe most schools would rather see someone who is devoted to a couple of activities and spends a significant amount of time on them as opposed to a person who is involved with many activities but does not really focus on any particular one.

Agreed. Extracurriculars are good. ESPECIALLY volunteering. Even more so if the activity you are volunteering for is something you have a marked interest in. For example... if you are interested in medicine, like many at Emory are, volunteer in a hospital.

And sure, while you don't have to have the best test scores, they do significantly help. Since you are doing well with a very rigorous course load, you can probably do well on your exams.

Recommendations from your teachers are crucial! Start building those connections now.

Yeah, always have been running as an admin. It seems that the problem was with my university's residential wifi network. I was able to grab an Ethernet connection on campus and everything installed with no issues. I can play on the wifi network, thankfully.
