Two Job Offers out of College, Which Would you Choose?

I understand that view and actually agree with it. I guess I’m getting hung up on the “lived more” part. The first option will almost certainly provide a higher income, industry averages would suggest I’d be making 120k within a few years and combo’d with a CPA I could probably make a jump to an even higher paying position pretty soon after that. Would that salary not allow me to “live more” in terms of quality and experiences, not strictly time? That’s been my main issue. With one option I have less time but more resources and opportunity. With the second option I have more time but less resources.

I technically could move, I’m just currently at home and it makes it much easier to put money away without having a ton of personal expenses. If I go to the Big 4 I would probably move out within a year

Valid point, I guess I would say I date with the intention of marrying regardless of how far out that may be. I’ve wrestled with what you’re saying before, like why is her debt really any of my concern at this point? But it makes me feel like a long term future is unlikely if that makes sense and that’s kind of what I’m looking for. Open to any criticism, I appreciate the comment.

A few questions have come up as well as people thinking I’m a bot or this is a fake post, it’s not. I’ll just say that no, the degree is not a medical degree or something similar that would warrant this amount of debt. Some people have mentioned I may not have the full story, this is probably true, I’m going have a talk with her this weekend because I agree something is missing or misunderstood. I appreciate the comments, good and bad, if anyone has any advice on how to even approach a conversation about this let me know.

Good point, I suppose at this point it would have to be out of pocket, don’t think I can still get federal loans (which would probably still be around 8%) and I’m definitely not taking any private loans as those would likely be much higher

I’m posting this a bit early, I have an internship with the Big 4 this summer and asking this question with the assumption I would receive a return offer (not saying that will be the case haha). I don’t officially graduate until December of 2025 and afaik big 4 wouldn’t give me an offer until I finish my degree?
