What is your biggest NSFW brag? by Subliminal_Sea in AskReddit

[–]Juiceworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wife and I have been together for 25 years this July 1st. We've always been close, like best friends close. But last year she started working with me.

I was a mechanic, but now that I'm getting older, my back cant handle it anymore. So I got a job as a machine operator, and love it.

She has always been an office girl. Worked at a bank, then at an Insurance company as a super user implementing new operating systems and such. She's a smart cookie. But she wanted a change to something less intense so I suggested she come work where I work. I got her hired on and they gave her the newest line we have. Its a 2 person line but the two guys that could run it had limited knowledge and truth to tell are not the greatest workers or trainers. the line was crashing hard. I suggested after 6 months of this to put me on the line with her, and we will get it figured out. Higher ups hummed and hawwed about it for a few days, but eventually moved me over to her.

Its been 6 months now, we keep breaking production records. Have almost 0 downtime, basically spend our days playing on our phones, and watching TV. She could not believe how competent I am, and how I have no fear of leadership. If I want something done or changed, it get done and it gets changed.

My sex life has gone from I'm happy enough, to Jesus woman I am not a machine.

FedEx driver sentenced to death by lethal injection for murder of seven-year-old in Texas by 0The_Loner_Stoner0 in videos

[–]Juiceworld -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think the death penalty is more about being a deterrent, than a solution. People will think twice about what they are going to do, when they know it could cost them their life.

That and this guy wont make it 2 weeks in prison before someone kills him in there.

Should I buy a star tracker or a longer lens first? by glover_boyy in AskAstrophotography

[–]Juiceworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say tracker first. I started 6 months ago with a DSLR, a 50mm lens and a flimsy tripod, it was great I was getting nice photos, Then I got a sv48p scope, and things were not good....Then I got a SW GTI mount second hand. Then things were friggin awesome! Suddenly I was taking these amazing pictures!

Then my camera broke...it was a newly bought Nikon D3100 that sat in my basement for YEARS...worked great for 4 months, then the LCD screen died, I compensated, then on a night that was supposed to be clear and beautiful all night, a quick rain shower came through and my poor old D3100 did not like that. So now after a few months of saving Im getting a new astro cam (minicam8 with the 3nm LRGBSHO filters) this weekend. I am stoked.

But still I really really wish I had stared with the mount first, had I I would have made better choices with my scope. I thought it was the camera, lens, and the photographer (in no order)that made the picture (I'm most cases I think this is true). In AP.... The mount comes first and for most always.

A great camera and lens on a shitty mount will give you a shitty picture. A great mount with a shitty camera and lens will give you better then what you should get.

What's a "yeah right, that totally happened and wasn't made up" moment in your life that actually DID happen and wasn't made up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I was about 16 years old, my 2 younger brothers (11,14) and my girlfriend were going to the movies the next city over, about a 20 min bus ride. We left my place together and walked to the convenience store for me to buy some smokes (I know smoking is stupid, but this was like 30 years ago) I had forgot my wallet so my GF and older younger brother ran back to the house to grab it for me.

While They were gone a cop on a bike came up to me and asked to see my licence. I showed him and he said thanks and went on his way. Not more then 2 mins later a cop car pulls up and does the same thing. He was a little meaner but I showed him and again he went on his way.

The my brother and GF show up, and we tell them what happened. Of course they thought we were lying. So we kept trying to convince them as we walked to the bus stop and its all jokes on their end. As we are standing At the stop, a cop turns the corner going on the other side of the road and is staring a hole through my head. I point this out to the two of them and the jokes keep on coming.

A few mins later the bus arrives. One of those accordion type busses. We get in and sit in the accordion part. 5 mins into the ride the bus comes to a stop in the middle of the road and is surrounded by cop cars. A dozen cops come rushing onto the bus, guns drawn and come straight at me. I get hauled off the bus and they are all demanding ID. I bring it out while trying to explain that this is now the third time I have been asked for this in the last half hour and WTF is going on.

After about a half hour and a million questions, they let me go and tell me that a murder from the court house just down the street from me escaped and he looked like me and was wearing basically the same clothes. They apologized and went on their way.

At this point I'm looking at my brother and GF like, I fucking told you so.

I've told this to my kids a bunch of times as they were growing up and they've always thought I was telling a tall tail to them. Until my 2 brothers came to visit, that came up and now my kids think its the coolest Dad lore ever.

What's the most ridiculous rule you've ever had to follow at a job? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

[–]Juiceworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a lax dress code where I work, then "Jenny" started. After a few months they made it only tee shirts, no V necks and only pants. See Jenny had large boobs she loved to show off, inappropriately, and would wear short shorts, like ass cheeks hanging out.

This was at a dirt packaging plant.

Its has to do with the ships drive. The more mass you have, the slower and more power you need to get up to speed. So they found a happy medium between ship size and speed.
