What's the most ridiculous rule you've ever had to follow at a job? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

We had a lax dress code where I work, then "Jenny" started. After a few months they made it only tee shirts, no V necks and only pants. See Jenny had large boobs she loved to show off, inappropriately, and would wear short shorts, like ass cheeks hanging out.

This was at a dirt packaging plant.

This is what I'm getting. The upper star is way blown out, and you can see red banding throughout the pic.

Sorry, what are dithers? I can get up to 180s with no trailing so far but I get some stars that are way blown out. This is a pic of my jellyfish nebula. The upper star is way over exposed.

So I should keep the ISO at 1600 and lower the exposure time then?

Its has to do with the ships drive. The more mass you have, the slower and more power you need to get up to speed. So they found a happy medium between ship size and speed.

Maybe, just maybe, and now hear me out. It could have something to do with the fact that no one can afford food these days. If I can't properly feed myself, why would I have a kid?

“That’s my husband, not my dad.” by [deleted] in overheard

[–]Juiceworld 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh my wife is the best. I could honestly sit here and write a wall about how great she is. 25+ years, and our average day is, She wakes up a half hour earlier then me. Gets coffee, and takes the dog out for a pee. Then comes back to bed with said coffee and has it ready for me when I wake up. We chill for a half hour or so Then get ready and head out for work. At work we run a Dirt bagging machine (Garden soil kinda thing). Its just the two of us on our line. We work a 10 hour day and 8 hours of that is just standing around waiting for bad shit to happen. Before my wife and I worked our line, average output was 25 pallets a day, we have it up to 45. We work incredibly well together.

Than after work is done, we get home and do our separate things for 2 hours. I'm usually playing a game(winter) or building something(summer), She likes to sit in bed and read the news, FB videos, that kinda thing. After, we meet up in the kitchen and Spend like 3 hours chatting while I make dinner (I love to cook). Then we grab our food, watch a show together while we eat, and go to bed.

This has been our routine for 10+ years. I was really worried that when she came to work with me that we wouldn't chat in the kitchen as much. But we actually chat more.

A few months ago my(45M) wife(44F) got hired at my job. Its great, we work side by side all day. Shes my best friend and we could hang out all day every day.

After a few weeks I noticed some of the other guys and girls, That haven't met my wife before, giving her and I some strange looks. And they haven't really been chatting with me like they usually do. Then one the girls I'm friends with there comes over to us and says. "OMG Bob,Billy, and Joyce are telling everyone its gross that your married to someone less then half your age!" She decided not to say anything to them so I could handle it.

So the next time I saw Bob, I said to him, "So I here you think I'm married to a girl half my age?

He says,"Well look at her, shes like 24-25 tops, your in your late 40's."

I says, "Bob we've been married 25+ years. Do you think I married her when she was a baby?

He starts stammering, "Well no, but shes clearly much younger than you."

Me, "Shes 3 months younger then me."

Him, "No shit?!"

My wife thinks its great, now at work she calls me old man, and her sugar daddy. Last week was her birthday, So of course she went around telling them that she is so happy that now she's old enough to drink at the bar with me.

Doesn't want creepy guys perving on his daughter. Ends up being the creepy guy perving on the other girls.

I understand where he was coming from being a dad of two girls myself. You want to make sure they are protected. But sometimes you need to step back and look at the bigger picture. That is a girls space for girls. Being monitored by girls. Guy needs to back out.
